At the "ReLIFE Jikken Houkoku-kai (ReLIFE Experiment Progress Report)" special event on Sunday, it was announced that the TV anime will receive a Kanketsu-hen (final arc). With a total of four episodes, the Kanketsu-hen will be included in Blu-ray and DVD, which will be released in March 2018. Youji Ikuta, vocalist of the opening theme band PENGUIN RESEARCH and seiyuu, appeared in the event as a "secret guest" and announced that he will join the cast.

ReLIFE is a web manga series by Sou Yayoi that began its serialization via comico in October 2013. The series currently has seven physical compiled volumes in print, with the latest published in February 2017. The 13-episode anime adaptation, available on the comico app prior to the TV broadcast, aired in Summer 2016. A live-action movie also just premiered recently on April 15, 2017.

Ah, sorry. Kanketsu means "ending", so Kanketsu-hen is final story. In another word, it's sequel to the 13-episode anime that concludes the story.

Great I'm looking forward to this, but at the same time I'm a little bit disappointed that the rest of the manga won't be adapted. However it's still better than nothing.

Oh damn a mixed feeling. Not a sequel I hoped for. Pretty sure the web comic is still ongoing. Original ending it is then.

4 episodes to do the ending... well that's kinda disappointing. I doubt it'll be an anime-original ending because the manga is most likely ending this year. But even if you cut out all of the side arcs, 4 episodes just doesn't seem enough.

Whelp... I guess if this is the ending of the complete series, I won't be watching this. Wouldn't feel right to jump to the ending without having experienced the journey inbetween.

Well they adapt 100+ chapters into 13 ep. so ending may fit into just a 4 ep. Nonetheless this is a great news ! i like ReLIFE looking forward to this.

Looks like its time to pick up the manga again, i really liked it but for some reason i just stopped reading it.

So it'll be animating the ending, huh. A bit disappointed that it's ending, i've thoroughly enjoyed this series both anime and manga. Hopefully it has a good ending.

I have a feeling that this will be an alternate route where

Skips some side-character devlopment, but the end result may as well be same.

I get why they are doing this. A lot of the chapters recently have been more about Rena and Ohga and it was DRAGGING on. Ohga is so annoying.

All I want is for Chizuru and Arata & Onoya and Ryo to end up together.

YES! I really wanted a conclusion and have been very tempted to just read the manga instead, but this means I get to do both!

I hope the manga will come to a conclusion soon

Great news though dunno how will they be able to fit it all into 4episodes only hope atleast each one will be 30mins long so that they can use it all specialy if the manga will be going on until next year or so, there will be really much material to use then.

I enjoyed ReLIFE, but 4 episodes for the ending seems a little short to me. Oh well, as long as it's more focused on Kaizaki and Hishiro than on Rena, I won't complain.

It's quite a while to wait though.

I know a lot of people are disappointed that only 4 episodes will be made. however even if it is rushed, you should count your fortunes this will even have more episodes to make an ending.

Their are so many adaptations, that the majority never will get a conclusion in Anime form. So count your fortunes this one will. especially since the sales were so low.

That's pretty exciting but 4 is pretty short, the anime did like 100 chapters in 13 episodes right? I guess they could do 40 here but I think the manga already has more than that after the anime and if it's only in a year, there'll be even more. Guessing the manga will also end by then.
The story still seemed pretty early on too, considering the plot is throughout a year and I think the anime didn't even cover half.
Well, wouldn't be the first one to adapt the ending of the manga without adaptating things between the original season and the ending itself.

first season adapted 100 chapters, we are currently on chapter 176, so only 24 weeks more we would have enough content to make a second season. it is really disappointing, ReLIFE is one of my favourite series

I prefer my anime to have no conclusive ending than some of the botch jobs that have happened in the past. Won't pass judgement on this until after its release.

This is either the animation of the webcomic ending (currently still ongoing) or a separate route, aka, original ending.

It's cool that we get 4 more anime episodes, but they are sealing the possibility of adapting the webcomic as it is with this. They will end it with these 4 episodes. A shame. Don't know what kind of decisions were made but I was looking forward 13 more episodes as there is enough material for it.

If it is a jump to the webcomic ending (so they air the anime shortly after the webcomic ends) it will be a shame too because all the missing content.

Oh well. Us fans little have to do in these situations.

Though it would have been nice to have another full season i'm just grateful we are getting anything. Relife did not sell particularly well if I recall.

What we will probably get is an original ending but possibly the same ending the Manga is heading. I'm only interested in Arata and Chizuru ending up together and im pretty sure they can achieve that in 4 episodes.

Ikr,like for example *Ouran Highschool Host Club and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni* among many others

I was actually suprised since this series has low sales in Japan so the reason why they doing is (probably) to increase the sales of BDs and DVDs
