| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, Boruto and his classic shadow clones. Just like his Father. I have to admit, the fighting in this show feels smooth and has some nice momentum. While Boruto is nowhere as strong as Naruto at the moment, he is fiercely determined especially against guys that are bigger than him. Hm I think after the fight, Boruto and his opponent could also get along. |

| Nice episode. ED song is decent. Cool to see the other students in Boruto's class. Poor Shino. Being a teacher can be tough. Iwabe vs Boruto was cool. Nice use of Shadow Clones. |

| So Academy life has started for Boruto, pretty nice use of the Shadow Clones from him. Don't really like this Iwabe guy, seems like a really simple and boring character, but Inojin is pretty nice, you can totally see that he is Sai's son (in his behaviour). |

| Well, the episode was pretty standard in shounen terms, they fought, the bad guy realised his mistake and had a change of heart etc etc. They explained what chakra is for the newer viewers, I guess they're taking the new audience into consideration, that's nice. Although I doubt there's anyone that hasn't watched at least a few episodes of Naruto. We also have a Hinata copy "secretly" admiring Boruto. Overall it was pretty ok. |

| The light purple hair girl(Sumire Kakei?) seems to be the bigger potential ship which started from admiration, other than Sarada. But I kinda think there will be no shipping, considering the foretell coming destruction. Whatsmore Boruto went rogue after the village destruction to kill Kawaki. |
| Okay..., The animations looked horrible for me. Like down right 10 fps horrible most of the time. Was it just me ? I watched on Crunchyroll 480p. Animations in 1st episode was gorgeous btw. |

Looking forward to next episode, but the Metal Lee name sounds so stupid. Would have been better if they went with like Iron Lee or something, even tho this is stupid as well. |

This was a nice callback to Sasuke's fight with Kakashi. Ramkec said: Yeah the animation fell the fuck off, but it is what it is I guess, Studio Pierrot at their best. Yeah that was a bit disappointing but it was outsourced to Peace&Kindness studio. Next one should be good since it'll be in-house again. |
| The first fight of the series... :0 but Jesus some of the children are so goddamn rude. like did their parents stay cranky and miserable. I think Iwani needs some psychological help as well. Good episode in general. hopefully they don't over do the "I'm not riding on the back of my father" like I get that, that is what the series is sorta based on but you know everything needs moderation! |

| I thought this was a pretty good episode. I didn't expect high quality animation from this series so unlike some of the others, I'm not disappointed. Just look at the major battles in Naruto Shippuden for example, it was pretty bad at times. Anyways, I'm glad Boruto isn't like his father and is actually pretty damn good in the academy (thus far). Naruto was sorta a fuck up as a child. It was pretty cool to see Boruto used a sequence Sasuke used on Kakashi once and see Boruto kicked like his father did. 3/5- Animation did drop a little bit (which was expected) but I like the new ED song/video a lot. Also there wasn't enough Sarada and I am waiting anxiously to see a Sarada centric episode. I think it's pretty funny that Inojin is getting more screen time than his mom, Ino. At least it feels like he did. Also...Metal Lee...What? Is Metal Lee's kid gonna be named Diamond later? |

| Pretty good episode, not as good as the previous one but it was still nice. Boruto got the class accept him way easier than Naruto ever did, I used to feel so sad for Naruto, in comparison Boruto had it easy. I suppose that right there is a mark that times have changed. Seeing how everything is so much better and the world is much more accepting than it was before makes me really appreciate the things Naruto endured through and accomplished, never thought this show would make me appreciate Naruto more. XD Inujin is cool but kind of an ass too. XD Iwabe wasn't particularly impressive and this felt more like an episodic story but the classic Shounen message of determination, standing up for your friends and walking your path is something I always love and it was conveyed well enough for me. I do agree with a lot of people above that the animation wasn't as strong as the first episode but it was not bad and worked well enough for this episode. |

| I stumbled upon this post somewhere else and I wanted to share it because I think that it really hit the nail right on the head Since the first two episodes were about Boruto, and seemingly the next four are not, I think it's fair to give an analysis on the introduction of Boruto Uzumaki's character. Since this was meant to separate him and establish his person, I think they did a pretty good job. I mean just from the opening sequence of Episode 1, with Boruto and Shikidai running around the Village, you could sort of see that Boruto's movements were more experienced than Naruto at the start of the academy. This is only seen to be proven true when Boruto got the second best time during the field examination, only being topped by someone who was held back a few times. In terms of personality - Boruto is seen not really caring about wanting to become a shinobi, but his parents, expect him to join the academy like everyone else. Unlike his father who strived to show everyone around him that he was worth something, that he was important, and that he was strong. Boruto doesn't care about needing to prove himself to those who ridicule him, as seen in Episode 2 when those children were calling Boruto out for being the Hokage's son. Boruto only steps in to defend his friends, and just the general person who is being picked on. We see this twice when Boruto saves Denki from the bullies in Episode 1, and when Iwabee is hurting Denki in Episode 2. To me, this is how they 'define' Boruto as cool. Because Boruto does not care about their words, because he knows he is. However, he won't let you ridicule his comrades/peers. To me that was refreshing. I think Boruto carried the first two episodes well, and I'm excited for the Metal Lee/Shikidai, Sarada/Cho-Cho, and the Mitsuki episodes! Other than that, this episode was pretty good yet again this week.....I really enjoyed the fight between Boruto and Iwabe (I wish that Boruto knew some elements though but I guess we'll get that pretty soon) Besides that, I too like most people here, got a Hinata vibe from Sumire but it's nice to see that she's not completely shy since she's the class rep and all. I really liked Inojin (Never expected him to be this snarky and bold - But I guess he got that from his dad lol.....Strangely, is it just me or did he kind of remind anyone of Mitsuki in a way at the end of the episode?) and Shikadai (Loved how he called out Inojin and how he readily made sure that Boruto doesn't let people's shit talks get to him) and Denki (The kid is shaping up nicely but he reminded me a lot of Max from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl with how he uses his computer to do research about Ninja and Chakra etc lol) If there's anything that this episode did for me, it's that it made me hope that the named kids (Denki, Iwabe, Sumire) don't end up disappearing and that they too will have decent enough roles later on in the anime and the manga |
| Awesome episode. To be honest, if the animation and story progression continues with this pace and detail, I think we will actually get a really enjoyable Sequel to Shippuuden, probably even better. |

| Fairly entertaining, though the animation seems to have gone down in quality from the first episode. I hope they actually get to real ninja stuff soon, instead of them struggling through school. I'm just kind of glad that it isn't doing a Dragon Ball Super where it remakes the movie. |

| This episode showed some pretty standard stuff that you see in this series. Someone starts as an enemy then becomes a friend by the end of the episode. The animation during the fight scene wasn't that good either. Hope it's better next week. |

| Pretty nice episode. Boruto got the class to accept him quicker than Naruto. His fight against Iwabe was cool. Both are strong. They became friends rather fast. Inujin is starting to become one of my favorite characters in this show. We also got Violet, who's basically a Hinata copy. The animation dipped in quality, which I hope doesn't happen often. |
