| To be honest, I still kind of have mixed feelings because I wanted Kaede to get with him. But then after the episodes of what happened during Kaede and Rin's childhood...kinda got me thinking. I still want him to get with her, but then again I also think Asa is a good choice as well. What are your guys' thoughts? |

| If this show had properly followed the VN, it'd be a toss up between Asa and Primula (yes, you heard that right, Primula...go read the VN, her arc is by far the best... no crazyness or fakes, just pure sweetness, and yes, she's confirmed one year younger than Rin according to the Kings of Heaven and Hell). Since the anime decided to cross off Rimu pretty early, there's really no other choice than Asa here. Kaede needs someone who can help her get over her psychosis (Rin can't, he would just let her do as she wants), Sia has that crazy double personality and Nerine was pretty much faking it most of the way. |

| I was rooting for Sia the whole time but Asa...well she was my second choice so I wasnt put off by it. The people who think Kaede need their heads examined if they think someone who is overly needy should have won his heart. Especially after the despicable things she had done to him in the past. |

BRB king of the gods and also she seems real chill and puts in a real effort to try to spend time with Rin without being overly nice in an awkward way. Kaede is too nice in an overly suspicious way, so I would have probably tried to move out long before the start of the series. Asa is too flirty to not just at least have a one nightstand. The wardrobe malfunction scene was just too much. But IMO she seems too much like a side character and has better guys she can end up with. Nerine is seems like an autistic savant. Too much lack of common sense for my liking, not at all crafty like what I'd expect from a princess of demons. Primula is just too young. It felt like she was the daughter of Kaede and Rin. Why didn't she just go live with the demon king? Really doesn't make any sense for two human kids to take care of her. Wow I'm actually surprised that no one has commented on some of the observations you have had on this series. It's a bizarre set of morals you have came into this series with to say the least. Did the reason for the girls all being good friends not become apparent? Even if they all started backbiting and getting in each others way...it probably wouldnt have solved anything. In fact it's probably more likely they would be alienated from Rin. After all, who would pick someone who was so utterly vindictive to shut all the other girls out from his life? Why was Rin not already having sex with Kaede before the start of the show? I have to requote this as it's just so unbelievable to hear. I can take into account that you havent watched to the end of the series because if you had you would know exactly why. However I'll be more general and ask you if you lived with someone for most of your life, would they not feel more like a sibling than a potential love interest? If I have to be more specific to this show, then if someone had spent years of their life making yours as miserable as they possibly could then would you be feeling anything romantic for them? It's because of this that I question the objectivity of the Kaede fans who tout her as the ideal girl for Rin despite the hell she put him through. I still believe Sia was the best girl by a long way but I have no problems with Asa as she is the most normal of the girls and is very likable along with it. Just because she is a bit flirty which ALOT of girls are. Doesnt mean she would be putting out lol. It's funny for you to think that he would have one night standed her. I'm given the impression that you think it's weird for a guy to have a female friend. Especially one he is quite close to. |
