Running Hisoka was hilarious xD
Also, looks like there's something else about him and that aura..

Plate finally stolen! ^_^
...but that weirdo just had to show up... >.>
Still, Hisoka dealt with the matter swiftly ^_^

Hisoka is quite creepy, reminds me a bit of Akabane from getbackers. Gon seems to be coming along rather nicely. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Hisoka is bloody creepy. Like, he's a complete homicidal psychopath. Kurapica and Leorio are damn lucky he decided to go with their deal.

Fantastic episode! Hisoka's bloodlust(?) is quite terrifying.

I had a feeling he'd give Gon back the badges. Can't wait for their inevitable fight in the future.

Hisoka's voice is like Extra Coarse sandpaper down my spine.
Perfect for the character.

I re-watch HxH many times especially for this episode. Hisoka creeps me out the best! It's rare to find a perfect villain in any anime who makes me feel this way. Tatsumi scared me a little, but I enjoyed how sadistic he was. I can be a bit of an M sometimes, yeah. Still I'm somehow bothered by the violence against poor Gon and he is in such a young age.

Awesome episode!

Everything you said - YES. Agreed. Hisoka is, thus far, one of the best villains I've seen in a long time. So bloodthirsty and twisted. His run was pretty hilarious, though. At other times, he was just downright creepy in his craziness.

Loved Hisoka in this, though how does he have six points by the end of the episode if he gave Gon his badge back. All he had was his targets (3) and then the one the creepy pin guy/girl gave him (1).

I'm usually not one to like villains who don't kill the hero when they can, but in this case, this just makes Hisoka even more ruthless. He is not a villain that wants to stop the hero or is trying to achieve an objective, no. Hisoka is the kind of guy that simply does not care, he just wants to have fun, a true "Joker" level villain.

Oh and again Id like to mention how amazingly awesome is the way HxH builds suspense. Serious, some scenes thrilling as hell!

his targets(3), the guy he killed earlier in the episode, the one kurapica gave him, and the one illumi gave him

Really liked this episode. First and foremost, Hisoka is just awesome. I also liked how the episode played out in general. Kuripica and Leorio acting so logically was very refreshing to see. No "fuck you we're not giving you anything" nonsense that would just get themselves seriously hurt. They analyse the situation, and act rationally. Give away a number that may have been helpful; but wasn't vital. Surprisingly few characters seem to do that, especially in long running shonens.

Man even in this version Hisoka's bloodlust moment was freaky as all hell. LOL'd so hard when he came back with the huntsman's hat and badge on. Oh Hisoka you clown.

I had a feeling back when Gon was first trying to catch the moving bird that the blowdart guy hunting him would nail him just as he went for Hisoka.

There were four beings involved in Gon's training sequence:

  1. Fly
  2. Fish
  3. Bird
  4. Gon

Gon was copying the waiting style of the bird so that put Gon at the top of the food chain.

When Gon made his move on Hisoka:

  1. Hisoka's Prey
  2. Hisoka
  3. Gon
  4. Blowdart-San

Blowdart-San was copying Gon's style so that put Blowdart-San at the top of the food chain.

Nice foreshadowing!

Hisoka's face when he realized Gon managed to steal his badge off him was just... glorious. He looked like a daddy proud.

And then when he came back all chill wearing Gurreta's hat and red butterflies, awesomely creepy. I love how they're building him up and his "relationship" with Gon. Or has he said, how he's waiting for the fruit to become perfectly ripe.

I felt like I was watching a horror movie this whole episode.
Let’s say I posed this question to you: “Can all human souls be bought with money or not?” Now remember, the keyword here is “all”. The answer is “There are times when you can buy them, and other times, not,” right? The human being… sometimes he’ll uphold his pride and conscience even if he’s offered ten billion yen, and other times he’ll murder someone over one yen. ~Izaya Ohira (Durarara)

Even the night itself was petrified by Hisoka's intense killing excitement!

Gon will have a long and hard way to reach the power and skill of Hisoka....
When that time comes. It sure will be epic!

Pretty obvious that Hisoka's target was the hunter of Gon, that was the only way Gon could get his 6 points.

Hisoka's actually really creepy o~o

I knew he was gonna give Gon his number back, it's even more creepier that he managed to get 6 points without having the 3 from his own number, it makes it clear that he's crazy.

Also, poor Gon.

This can be such a lighthearted show at times, but ooOoo was this episode dark(er).

The Hisoka character seems to get a lot of hype. I wasn't sure why up until now. This episode is really the one he shines in, though -- in other words, his grand debut as a character.

He was creepy to begin with but he took things to a new level of terrifying.
What an interesting antagonist indeed.

It was great, I was terrorized for a moment of the episode, Geretta and Hisoka ended being like really cool guys. I think, the only thing that saved Kurapika, was his will to face someone superior, Leorio is missing his objective, and what has been of Killua and Hanzo. I was very happy for Gon after he obtained the plaque, I mean, it was all his merit, what a guy. That aura of Hisoka. Gon’s dignity was the one he was fighting for in the end, now he has to return that punch in the face to him.

This is probably the best episode of Hunter X Hunter. Compare this to the 2011 version and you get a clear idea for the failure that was 2011.

This sentence is still so disturbing.

The fight scenes are actually the least impressive aspect in terms of sakuga, but the atmosphere and cinematography is incredible.
