I gotta say the third game was a complete and utter disappointment. A letdown in pretty much every possible way.

How do I say this? I can see why you'd be disappointed, as the game we got doesn't seem to be what was promised. Then again, this is Utawarerumono, so thinking it could be a uber serious and dramatic epic like RotTK was a long shot in the first place.

That said, I personally am not disappointed by what I seen so far (Havn't got the game itself, should have it in a week or so). Then again, that's probably because I wasn't expecting much.

That's mainly because while it was first announced that the game would be released after two years, following the success in the sales department, that was cut in half to just under a year. That made me very wary, and it smelled to me of corporate/company meddling, and having gone through something similar with Dragon Age Origins and it's sequel, I was readying myself for a disaster, which I think was averted.

It's possible that cutting short the development time probably DID have an effect on the end product, in fact id'd be surprised if it didn't. How much, we probably won't know unless perhaps the devs pour their heart out sometime in the future.

TL:DR, I think you we're disappointed because you had very high expectations, but no one can fault you for that.

The game not only is not what was hyped up or promised, but it feels irrelevant.

It really feels poorly thought out. And it does not even feel like a real ending.

Please take Fai's last paragraph in the previous post with a grain of salt. I found the story to be okay personally.

It's just that this third game feels more like a continuation of Itsuwari that a closing chapter to a trilogy, and is pretty open ended. I smell corporate meddling in this too btw.

Lol so every scientist as human can turn to become hakuoru (god) lol. Season 2 come out the man as a scientist that we knew is haku and he lead army to invade tukuru country huh. I wonder tukuru is really scum like that huh? It make haku went to destroy provision so easy anyway the bodyguard disappeared all. It some kind a joke drama anime ever. So please don't make me as a likeness anime like fool or scum man! If you want to badly create many hakuoru so please turn it look cool and possible. season 3 I hopefully hakuoru turn back by kuon to awaken him and one of Yamato man that request tukuru to told him the place hakuoru is the other part of hakuoru. He is kill Yamato emperor and also poisoned princess to collect power to destroy tukuru and use haku fake as a puppet. So hakuoru lead the war and turn to sleep again. Make kuon and haku fake marry at the end with happiness that is the best animators should do.
