| Although there may not be any news yet, I'm going to assume there will be a season 4. The two dragons have yet to dish it out after all. I couldn't see them building up the hype then not animating it. |

| It was over a year between season 2 and the season 3 announcement, so they might do the same thing this time around. If so, there should be a S4 announcement this summer, probably for a winter or spring debut. If there's going to be an S4 that is. S3 sold relatively well, but was still down like 30% in sales from S2, so who knows. |

I don't want to squash your hopes, but I've seen way too many anime that ended without finishing up whatever story/fight they've built up to. Most either just don't sell well/get enough viewers or get cancelled. High School DxD is different, though. It's been popular enough to get 3 seasons and isn't made by a studio known to not care about their fans. |
| IIRC back when S3 aired with some large changes from the LNs, the excuse given by the studio/author was that they made the changes in order to adjust the pacing of the story in preparation for seasons 4 & 5... Haven't heard a peep about it since then though :( I really wouldn't be too surprised if they are trying to cram the entire 4th arc in one shot, which is unusually long compared to most LN arcs, and not sure if it's even completed yet, which could be what the anime production is waiting for. Fingers crossed that that's the reason for the delay, since that means they are trying to actually do right by the source. ^^ |

| Well the blu ray and dvd just went on sale for Born this month outside of Japan, so I would assume in the next month or so we should hear something. I wonder how they plan on putting the story back on track after that shitfest of a third season. |

They removed some very notable things like the Sitri rating game, Issei's devil classes, etc along with changes I feel should have been kept like the fact that Issei was brought out of Juggernaut drive by the Oppai dragon song. These little things add up. | Okay, it's official. After many of my favorites just ended where they're at, usually after a 2nd or 3rd season usually with another on the cards but never done, I thought most 4th's would be near impossible. Except for the most popular and there's only one I can think of that was popular enough to get that 4th (JoJo) (if it wasn't continuous like OP, Naruto and DB, that is). So which ever company is in charge of this are a group of f#cking legends! xD |
