THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

About damn time they get Varel Jin more screen time. I almost forgot she was still there.

Not a fan of that new kid thought with the tail. And seriously, that kid needs to be careful in their world. There wasn't much Aruka but I don't really mind it. The episode felt flat still but I think it did make its point with the enemies of Aruka and what they're capable of.

I don't see any reason to be excited about any character getting more 'screen time'. They dedicated the episode to a soulless, emotionless woman who is an absolute failure at communicating. That's no different than any other episode. If they gave these characters personalities half as big as their tits, the show might not induce so much yawning.

Dropped.

Damn.. Jin Varel's got some crazy blights on her body. :O
It's probably a side effect from the Impurity magic she uses..

Controversies goes on at the backstage..
Ran becomes a suspect to the 'Palams'.

Jin was badass; single-handedly defeating the whole army!

The white-haired guy and his philosophical monologues are always awesome.

Good episode. I think Jin actually used to be a good character in the past.

Jin Varel reminds me of a female Darth Vader, without the psychopathic master. Just so much Badass in her blighted body. <3

It seems like she's constantly fighting a battle within herself, I wonder what the white Jin is suppose to portray of her?

Not much Alka in this episode, but it also allowed us to see that things weren't all that rosy over on Palam's side either, the Emperor has a huge problem keeping Jin and her minions under control. Poor kitty....

Is it just me, or does it seem like the animation has taken a slight dip in standards? Especially when Dan was trying to recruit Hazuki. The animation drop was horrendous. It didn't even feel like I was watching Blade and Soul for a minute there, more like some parody someone drew and posted on Youtube.

That Yuu kid has got to be the dumbest kid ever. Don't like how your side is conducting things, so you decide it would be best to tell the enemy everything in hopes that they would just up and leave? You've seriously got to be kidding me. He's lucky to just get away from the minions with just a paper-cut. Getting wiped out along with his little village would have been adequate punishment for him, now he's got to live with the guilt of being the sole survivor. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Hope the art improves next episode.

Finally an episode dedicated to Jin and her gang. I'm far more intrigued with Yu Ran though, I wonder how she can control Jin.

I also think they are far too OP!! I don't see how Dan Roana and Hazuki would be useful against them. The inn mistress is a badass and it seems that she also had someone killed by Palam in the past but looking at her features, she might even be related to Jin.

That Yuu, he made a wrong move when he asked Jin and others to leave, that's not a good idea. Good thing, he escaped alive.

Jin was so badass in this episode when she killed the entire army.

I love how Jin Varrel slaughters without leaving any corpse. The blood is shed and the entire body is sucked into another dimension (most likely hell).

Everyone whom she killed would never be able to rest in peace

Everyone who investigated the aftermath of massacre would never know who died where, and how

Is it just me or does it seem like Jin Varrel has the exact same wound in the exact same place as Alka?

Yea I noticed that too. Maybe they're connected in some way other than the whole revenge thing.

And again another episode where everyone gets slaughtered. They really need to change it up a bit. Kinda boring.

That bounty hunter after Aruka is one of the most annoying anime characters I've ever seen. She's just a waste of screen time, I don't even find her remotely funny.

This. She is stupidly fixated and freaking lucky to have survived their first fight. Also, did that big guy always just grunt like a retard? Because that is going to get really old, really fast.

Yuu is adorable!

Jin Varel is too OP. When it's like that, it's boring.

lol..this is very true. every single character in this show is one-dimensional and extremely underdeveloped. seems whoever is doing this show dont know how to write/create a great villain. instead they just picked the silent, emotionless and can kill everything with 1 attack stereotype that im soo sick of by now.

dropped it last week ..far too late tho.

It was interesing to see the story from Jin and gang's view. I have to say I'm curious about what Jin's right hand woman is planing.

Yuu seems like an important idiot.

Looks like the pleasure gang is back on their feet and Hazuki joined them :)

Jin having some weird dreams while awake. Yuu seems like a naive child.

Also why is it that no one in this show seems to have a personality? I've never played the game so I'm not sure on how they are basing the character development but it seems to be pretty crappy to me.

I mean I wish Aruka would show a little bit of emotion about her master getting killed, or that little boy being killed. I mean anything...

Same with Jin, but i guess we don't know that much about her at this point in time, except seems like she fighting her inner self.

So far every episode has been pretty meh.

Really liked this episode, the shift in focus away from Aruka was nice. Jin Varel is cold and powerful, just the way I like villains. All not well within Palam. Interesting to see Hazuki join up with Roana and the Pleasure Gang, I agree she would look good wearing the spikes.

The boy(Yuu) is gonna be important because he takes up a significant portion of the anime poster.
There's two kinds of people you can't win an argument against:
One - Too dumb to tell right from wrong.
Two - Too stubborn to admit they are wrong.

Oh boy this is getting pretty terrible..
The art was pretty bad and this is so sloppily written that its hard to follow what the hell is happening..

That aside I thought the White Jin Varel she kept killing must represent something like; every time she kills someone, the little bit of good inside her dies as well? Or rather she keeps getting consumed by the darkness..

This thing could be so much better if we looked at the main story going on. Instead every episode is a side story with maybe 2-3 minutes worth of time that will actually be useful for later on. Last episode we got some prick talking about destroying a community that grows flowers, and now we have some peasant rebellion that lasted 2.5 seconds.

I agree ! XD

Episode most useful of the last two, not that the former were just useless, but speed up on some "issues" would have been useful.
Some narrative choices was unnecessary, but the target of the soul imposes certain choices in the script! XD
Drawings and animations that do not shine in the TV version, I wonder if Gonzo redo it from scratch drawings of the series, the output of the BD.
Jin Valel has a certain charm, perhaps more than Alka, shame the rest of the cast is charismatic as she is.

Nice OP !! :3

I like the new kid, honestly, he seems like one of those peaceful badasses.

I felt bad about the dog and the small army.

Yu Ran is definitely hiding something and I'm digging the "Hazuki joining the gang" thing.

Episode Three of this series received a perfect five star rating. The following three episodes have received five stars COMBINED, including a historic zero-star rating for this abomination. The anime has really fallen off. There was absolutely NO quality in this episode. A battle that made no sense. A pacifist with supernatural powers. A MC with around two minutes of airtime. All of this makes no sense. It was fitting perfectly at first. But then someone broke the jigsaw puzzle up and they can't get it back together again. Through six episodes, my rating is an even 6/10. And to think, just three episodes ago, the rating was around 2.5 points higher, hanging around 8.5. Its fallen hard and fast.
