| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Another quality chapter. I must admit that Naho seriously needs to buy a ticket for the clue bus! I really wish she would take the lead, do as she says she is going to and stop relying on the letters, and tell him that she wants to date him. I understand her reasoning of not wanting to deviate too much from the world-line of the letters so they can continue to use them to protect him, but now she is wanting to stop relying on them, so just take the plunge! But even then, not figuring out that his offered hand is an invitation to hold hands? Really? (Of course, he could use words too. "Would you mind if we held hands?" Is that so hard to say? ... Ok... yeah, it is pretty hard to say, isn't it... It is better if it just happens naturally, so he should just take her hand while walking and not ask. She would love it, I'm sure.) |

| Orange is definitely one of the best manga out there, I keep recommending this manga to my friends (the ones that actually read manga and know that I read manga too lol). I'm really glad the whole group received letters from the future! I'm just curious now as to what's in others' letters. I'm pretty sure someone must've mentioned something about Naho and Suwa, but I guess they all have the same goal - to save Kakeru. My heart breaks reading about Naho&Suwa - knowing they'll actually be together in the future, but now that they're deviating from that letter's future, chances are a new set of "future" will be created - one with, hopefully, a living and happy Kakeru. This is def one of the few mangas that I can't decide whether the main girl should end up with the main guy or the "second guy". |
| Look at it this way: Up to this point, I have seen absolutely zero evidence that the Naho who received the letter had EVER thought of Suwa as anything other than a friend. It pretty much says so in the manga. The letter says that "Suwa is the dear person who saved my heart." and then Suwa's letter says that he didn't do a good job of supporting Naho and Kakeru, which suggests that he knew very well how Naho and Kakeru both felt, but was unable to support them because he was also in love with her, even though he knew she didn't love him and never had. I'm pretty sure Naho never thought of Suwa as anything other than a friend until after Kakeru died and Suwa was the person who got her through the pain, leading to Naho eventually reciprocating his love. It also mentions that Azu and Suwa started arguing after Kakeru died. I would bet that Azu thought Suwa was taking advantage of Naho while she was vulnerable because of grief and they argued about it, since everyone other than Naho was aware of how both of the boys felt about her. The scene in the future when they are all getting the gifts that they were preparing to get him for his 18th birthday and Naho has no idea why Suwa is giving her flowers "from Kakeru" really suggests that the first time around she was even more clueless than she is the second time. She was still shocked when she got the flowers from him on his 17th birthday, but at least she had acknowledged her own feelings and her friends had gotten her to confide in them. Anyway, this is one of the finest manga ever! If it gets made into an anime, I will have to drink plenty of fluids while watching it or I'll dry up because of all of the water loss from tears. |

| I love this manga, but I think this time the chapter felt like a filler. I think it would have been better to unveil only Hagita's letter and to develope that a bit more, instead of just "ey we all have a letter". :S |
| I agree that it would have been better if it ended with Hagita revealing to the girl that he got a letter and letting it build more. That would have been stronger plot wise. I can't believe anyone would be that clueless that he wanted to hold hands either. The other thing is the current Suwa does not know that the future Suwa is with her, which is rather sad but Naho does not know either. I think she must have liked Kakeru in both time lines though. |

| Finally they all tell each other that they've gotten the letters too. It should be quite obvious to each since they're all trying so hard for Kakeru. They're all such great friends. I don't know though, for some reason I feel like the author is going for a fatalistic approach because the conversation between Naho and Suwa in another chapter seems to foreshadow this. Or it could be that it's just something they pondered about but will never know what's the right action or not. But maybe it really is that no matter what action they take or what they do, whether based on the letters or based on not knowing the future, that the ending will still be the same. Anyways...Naho is incredibly dense. If someone is holding out their hand it is either: 1) they want something (ex: something you borrowed from them, or idk, they want gum o_o, maybe a low-five even) OR 2) they want to hold your hand. Instead she thinks something's wrong with him. I like Naho, but this was quite frustrating. |
| I didn't understand what Kakeru was doing with his hands either, I was completely lost at first. Maybe I'm just dense like Naho?? Overall I'm really enjoying how developed the group's friendship is, it makes everything just that much better. With each update I literally sit on the edge of my chair (metaphorical cuz I'm lying on my bed) with fear that something horrible is going to happen that chapter. This is something that really needs to be made into an anime, the story is so new and refreshing. Another great chapter it's a 10/10 from me |
| Naho is dense in a cute way. Normally, I am not fond of that trait but in her case, it works cuz she is portrayed so realistically pure and nice. I just love and admire these guys' friendship. They are so close... And yes, they all got the letters! Let the mission "Save Kakeru" begin for real. This is badly in need of an anime... |

| I think this chapter is intended to build good mood to the readers, and then crush them with an unexpected twist.. dunno why, I feel this manga will have a twist even tho I believe the ending will be a happy one...maybe |

| Is Naho dumb or what? If he holds out his hand for her that she only has two options, or he wants her to go out with her or he wants to hold hands with her when they're walking. Lol 1 hour ago when I was reading the previous chapters I commented that they all probably had letters from future and now BAAAAM! All of them have letters, just as I thought. It's cool that they've friends that are truly friends, that's rare nowadays =) |
