We know what happened in the character's past, you already showed us, stop telling us. We know how characters feel about other characters, we can see it in how they act, stop telling us like we're 6 and can't figure it out. Second, the jokes are just horrible. They break the pace of the drama that they're trying to build up, even though they primarily do it by those horrendous voice overs, and they're not funny. Anythnig that they have build up is automatically shattered by the placement of an extremly out of place bad joke. And finally, as I am a dude I'm not in it for the pretty guys which seems to be a huge draw for its female fanbase. I was just ok, the soundtrack makes up for a bit of the bad writing but it's still just kinda average. I'm slightly interested in some of the background character but I don't think I can stand another ep which is full needless monologuing. finally someone who agrees |

| I loved the first half, but then it went a bit downhill then. I agree with almost everyone here - The voices, art and OP/END were great. The animation, not so much. Yuuki seems like the typical shoujo protagonist, sadly... :/ I hope this doesn't dissapoint, I'm looking forward to more :) Oh, and I loved Kaname! |

| not sure i like this actually. keep in mind i did not read the manga or heard of this previous to watching. the art just bothers me so much! >.> like whats with their eyes. but aside from that its OK for now..we'll see. |

On the contrary, I actually love their eyes...they're beautifully drawn and some eyes look empty, like doll eyes...their pupils are a pit of darkness while some eyes are filled with life and color. Idk if it has anything to do with it, but I find the art beautiful... I absolutely HATE Vampire Knight and I'm re-watching this just because I wanted to remember why I hated it. The characters annoy me quite a lot (for further reasons, don't want to spoil..) but I will say this. The vampires may all be bishies and what not, but at least they don't sparkle. :D (I know they do in the manga since it's shoujo and whatnot...tons of roses and sparkles and random things placed all over the panels D8) |
| oh god an animated version of twilight with all the sissy vampires!! like top commenter said at least they dont sparkle but damn that girl yuki annoying the only part of this i liked is when zero pulled a gun.. i'll keep watching hopefully it gets better |

| Ger Dub is awful. I cancelled it after 4 minutes and started watching it with eng sub |
| The responsibility of minimizing interaction between vampires and humans is too much for two students who have to do it everyday while going to class. Ain't there vampire specialists, or priests out there in this anime that could do this job instead. Or is the school just hiding vampires from the rest of the world, in hopes of creating a future peace between humans and vampire? |

| Well, not bad, I'll probably finish it, but I have a feeling I'm going to hate Yuki. Her first "fight" scene and she's useless already. I get it, they wanted Zero to save her so they'd be closer, but couldn't they have done it differently? I'm sick of faux action girls. |

| Wow, that was a really great first episode! A lot of hot vampire boys and Zero, who also appears to be one! I'm curious as to how he goes out in the sun and why he's in the day class. Him biting his lip and drawing blood and being topless was hot though <3 Been meaning to watch this for years LOL! I quite like the OP and ED! |

| Ah, the Twilight of anime. It's been 13 years since I watched this. I thought it would be a total cringe fest, but I'm actually enjoying it more than I thought. Yuuki is really fun and it took all but one second to remember that Zero is undoubtedly best boy. |

| This anime has one of the biggest rating fall offs I have seen in the last 10 years, according to archive this series used to have a rating of 7.87 and was the 28th most popular series in december 2011 and now it dropped to score of 6.91 and popularity ranking of #320. |
