| And thus dies the truly selfless, pure main character of this manga. When I watched the anime I felt like Light was actually really sad about his father's death, despite his selfish thoughts... but now, I am not sure. He cried, but I think that's only natural if you lose a person you spent your entire life with. But I don't think he's actually all that touched. Light is one selfish bastard. That said, he's still a great villain protagonist! |
| the end were too fast , maybe to show that light don't care too much about his father but still... and so the much selfless character in the manga died... |
| There goes my hero... At least Soichiro, unlike Raye Penber, didn't get to use the Death Note and wasn't doomed, without being able to go to heaven nor hell, which I'm glad. And he died without knowing the sad and bitter truth of Light. |
