 The October issue of Young King OURs magazine, released on August 29, has revealed the staff of the upcoming anime adaptation of Kouta Hirano's Drifters manga. Director: Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (2012)) Series Composition, Script: Hideyuki Kurata (Tokyo ESP) Script: Yousuke Kuroda (Hellsing Ultimate) Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Ryouji Nakamori (Hellsing Ultimate) Art Director: Kenichi Tatefuji (Shinryaku! Ika Musume) Sound Director: Yota Tsuruoka The announcement included initial designs for several supporting characters. A trailer was shown during Comiket 88 but has not been made available on official channels. The format of the anime and the animation studio remain unknown. The Drifters anime is a production to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Shounen Gahousha, which publishes Young King OURs. | Still no confirmation yet if it's OVA series (somewhat likely now imo) or TV anime adaptation. I actually wouldn't mind if it's in OVA form. Sure longer releases but better quality, less censorship, and probably better overall production. I'm excited for this anyways. Hopefully, the HQ version of the PV comes out soon. I also kinda like the director's choice. |

| Glad we got more info on this anime, though the format and the animation studio haven't confirmed yet. The staffs looks decent, and there are some people who previously worked on Hellsing Ultimate, so this is going to be great. Judging from the PV, it would seem to be an OVA series like Hellsing Ultimate, but who knows. Let's just wait. So I guess this means Yasushi Ishii won't take a part on this project, too bad, I really hope he'll be the composer for this anime, especially after heard the OST from the PV. Anyway, looking forward for this. |

Gotta love the lack of censorship shown here which probably might mean that it's going to be an OVA adaption ~_~ which is all cool except for the waiting period :( I need more confirmations about the studio doing this before getting my hopes up high |

| The PV looks so epic, loved the music, gore, massive amounts of destruction and Hellsing Ultimate feel to it. Glad they kept a lot of the Hellsing Ultimate staff for this and got the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure director for this. My guess is either David Production or Madhouse in charge. |

| It's likely to get an OVA. But I'm not certain. The first hellsing show ended abruptly due to a death (apparently). And lack of material? So if they do an OVA it could be slow enough for them to do an episode every time a volume comes out of the manga of drifters? |

There is actually 50 chapters+ though so a 1 cour TV adaptation is possible. |
