Lol that was funny.

I'm not sure how I feel about this girl though:

As for all things that relates to entertainment, we get some good spotlight moments for the girls. Besides having a fun, I think the girls are getting used to what they are doing now. Even Futaba has become more confident and that's a good thing.

Rin's pose was so cute! :3

Although the dance choreography was a bit jarring, it was still a whole lot better than the abomination Million Doll presented this season. Well, the catchy song made up for the shortcomings.

Nice to see Futaba getting the spotlight this episode. She mightn't be as popular as her teammates, but she has come a long way. Hopefully she'll get more works and recognition as the episodes go by.

Yeah, but he fits for this episode since he's more known for non anime speaking roles. I don't know much about him either.

On the other hand, You Get to Burning from Nadesico. I almost jumped off my chair when I heard it for this week's ED.
I wish Cowboy Bebop never existed.

I thought this part was pretty hilarious xD

Their debut song was pretty nice and catchy, but man, the harsh reality hits them hard ever so often which I like since not everything is smooth sailing.

And Futaba continues to struggle on the path she has chosen. Step by step she's improving, but I admit I am tiring of her always being the weak link. How about getting an episode where we see Rin have some trouble for once? Preview shows more distressed Futaba unfortunately. :(

Not exactly. Judging by the preview, we will see past events from the face of Futaba's manager.

Anyway, it was a nice episode about narration. It's a less known side of seiyuu job and I'm glad that it got it's moment here. I admit, I never heard of this week's cameo, though. Although looking at Wikipedia article, he is VERY active in narration, so it's only fair that they've got him for this episode.

^^Agreed, though I'm mostly not a fan of her constant klutzyness and apologetic traits that she has, I'm not big on people with traits like that. I get that that's makes her character but you think she'd at least be a little more better than that. But still, seeing the others struggle a bit would be nice since so far they're practically coming off as perfect in a sense, it'd also help in the character development department.

When you're surrounded by top talent or even people more experienced than you, especially as something as hierarchy centric as show business, it's so easy to develop an inferiority complex which is something Futaba is clearly suffering from. As someone who did have the same issues, I sympathize.
I wish Cowboy Bebop never existed.

I figured she'd be the focus, but missed that we'd be revisiting past events. I did think it odd that she pretty much knew nothing and said nothing about Futaba back when Rin took that one role away from her. She seemed way too out of the loop to be her manager...unless it just works differently in Japan.

At least we've seen Ichigo lose a job and not able to pay bills. Rin to this point pretty nearly is perfect, a child prodigy whose only hardship so far has been taking a role from a friend...if you even wanna count that...

But apparently Rin don't wanna be a Seyuu on future for her reaction about career forms that her friend talked about, so if she is "perfect" in one point, she don't have will on another...

Yeah her "conflict/hardship" so far seems to be based on her uncertainty regarding which career she wants, but frankly I don't really care about that at all. She should consider herself lucky to already be pretty much guaranteed success in a career as a seiyuu despite not even knowing if that's what she wants, and at such a young age. Meanwhile poor Ichigo and especially Futaba have the strong desire, but lack the talent/success. She just doesn't seem nearly as compelling as either of them to me. She really needs to stumble or something...

But i think than that is the point of this show, its not people with talent with will be successful in the end but the ones with effort.

Rin its like some people on real world, people that "waste" their talents following another dream(of course IF my theory of she don't wanna follow her career its right).

In Futaba case, even if she started "bad" in the end of recording i think she left a positive evaluation from the director and her boss(?), so she is not "failing" every time but she is learning and receiving goods advises along the way.

Oh Futaba will be fine, that was never really in any doubt, heck Rin will be too, she's just easily the least interesting of the three and I wish her only struggle wasn't what it has been so far.

That was amazing. And even though none of us have heard of him, I'm totally fine with this week's cameo. Just as long as they fit into the episode.

I hope Sore ga Seiyuu explores Rin's story more. I find teenage idols to be more interesting when they have all that talent, and yet they seek a different career. Futaba's making progress, and Ichigo seems to be doing fine on her own, but I think Rin is the most fascinating character.

Great episode as always.
I remember doing something similar when an event we held at school didnt have a huge turn out.
Am glad Futaba got an awesome fan at the handshake event, even though she's less popular than Rin and Ichigo.
And variety show narrations are tough!

Sayo seems like she'd be Rin's biggest fan lol Dem heart pupils are always funny.

Futaba was pretty cute this episode.

You Get The Burning sounds like a pretty cool opening, but sadly I haven't gotten around to watching the anime.

Rin doesn't seem particularly interested in the life of a seiyuu, or she probably has another career path in mind alongside this one. Sounds rough.

From the looks of it Narration is even harder then it looks.
If you get everything just before the recording there isn't much time to look at what needs to be said.
And life narration sounds even harder.

Narrations certainly do seem a lot harder than people give them credit for. I looked at Futaba's script, and I saw some of the more complex kanji on there, and it kind of bothered me a little bit. Especially considering that some were kanji that even a native speaker would have trouble with. XD But I think that the hardest part about that would be staying in sync with everything. That can actually be pretty hard to do depending on your reading speed.

Also, it was nice to see a seiyuu from outside of the anime industry (mostly anyway). Some of the stories that he shared were quite interesting. But, honestly, they're very believable. You'd be amazed at some of the stuff that producers try to pull when it comes to things like this. Anyway, this was a nice episode. Can't wait for more!

I was happy that Futaba had at least one dedicated fan that was there to see just her.

Rin is an interesting case in that she's everyone's senpai at being a seiyuu, but everyone else is her senpai at life. Her challenges aren't going to be about impressing people or finding confidence or making a name for herself like Ichigo and Futaba.

I was getting worried, they would only focus on "idol stuff" for the rest of the show, but this episode was perfect.

Is it just me or does Futaba have a really good singing voice? (you can hear her singing solo at the start of the song)
I mean she doesn't have that high pitched voice, like Rin & Ichigo, but it sounded amazing.

I really loved hearing her first read of the narration script versus the end narration. The improvement was phenomenal. That can't be easy to do switching voices like that in such a short time frame AND keeping the timing right.

Also the guy, who came from far away, bought the same plushie and is following her since her first named role, yeah, watch out for that guy...

You know, of all three girls, Futaba is probably the one who is learning the most at the fastest pace, what with the variety of jobs that her agency throws her way. That and the fact that she gets to meet with and get acknowledged by all those first-class Seiyuu's, it's all a blessing in disguise since connections are everything, and if even the top Seiyuu's recognize and acknowledge your existence, it should all become easier in the long run.

I can't believe I got to hear Martian Successor Nadesico again! Such a classic anime. Loving it!

This episode was perfect ! Futaba has less fan than Rin and Ichigo, but her fan is really cool. He made a long trip just to see her, I hope we will see him again.
The live performance was good even if some movements were weird, it was so much better than in Million Doll.
It was interesting to see another part of the seiyuu job, the narrator job seems to be hard.

It was a good episode. The dance choreography felt a bit jarring for moments but I appreciate the fact they didn't make use of CGI. Not to mention that although Futaba is the less popular of the unit, I'm really glad she gained such a dedicated fan.

But honestly, I liked the second part of the episode way more than the first one. It was nice to see Futaba gaining some more experience in a job she has never done before. Without a doubt, she will be fine, I also liked the optimistic way the ep. ended.

I have to say that this is my favorite episode so far. It's incredible how Futa-Futa has gained more confidence after each new job and how many people have encouraged her. I hope her efforts get rewarded with a big role at the end of the anime.

Besides, I think the scene where she thanks her fan for coming was so cute! <3

That big fan os Ichinose is so wholesome...

Also, I only noticed that Atsumari was a character in Hayate no Gotoku as Ruka's manager lol.
