Even professional writers tend to use much simpler sentences as being too verbose isn't always for the good, it confuses the readers, alienates them, harms the flow of the story/text or it simply sounds awkward. This, however, applies for the work that are meant for the broader audience, works that declare themselves "art" are usually the opposite. If your intention is to be different from the others and you aim for artistic impression first, you are doing a good job and there isn't much to improve.
