| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow what an ending! Lots of emotions running through me, let's take it step by step. First off, it seems Nagaishi seems to be doing the peace sign even in the 80s :P Guess it never get's old even in 2015 :P I really thought Daigo was one of the bad guys, but it seems he's actually one of the few people who knows Heinz personally. I have a hunch about the painting, and how the soldier was pointing a gun a woman with a children. My guess that was Heinz's wife and he painted this as evidence by that soldier who is trying to run as a president. At least we can confirm that Heinz is still alive after all these years if Daigo-san is to be believed. First off, it's such a shame Daigo-san had to be killed like that. Just as Cat's Eye FINALLY found someone who knows Heinz, he suddenly dies. What get's me is how he died. First off where the hell are the security?!? He had multiple people on the bridge when monitoring Cat's Eye as they moved into the ship, but none showed up. Okay let's assume they all got assassinated by that Hitman, at least showed showed how the guards died or their bodies laid waste. 2nd, At least one of the members of Cat's Eye(Rui preferably) should have stayed and guard Daigo-san. At least ask Hitomi and Ai to fixed her things while she guards him since he already warned them being targeted by the Hitman. Also am i the only who thought that the Hitman looks awfully a lot like Golgo 13!?! Even the shades and get up are the same thing! Shame he didn't put much of a fight, was hoping he would be some sort of a ruthless killer and Cat's Eye had no choice but to kill him to stop him. I feel sorry for Toshi. Not being able to see Hitomi for how so long. Just as when he was able to propose properly, they had to part ways for quite a long time. At least, hopefully after Cat's Eye finds out about Heinz, at least Hitomi should go back and spend the rest of her days with Toshi and all. Lol Toshi didn't gave her a kiss, but sometimes man doesn't always have to lead everything as Rui said :) At least they kissed at the end!!! Though if Cat's Eye now goes to Europe and Toshi notices the drop of activity from Cat's Eye, wouldn't that give them suspicion to begin with? Ah well, i guess they are already worked out to even suspect a thing anyways. It'll be lonely in Inunaki Precinct for sure. Also where the hell is Nagaishi in all of this?!?! He should have at least known who Daigo-san is if he's to believe to be one of the close people of Heinz. Since they're also going to Paris, i expect Slim Suspense and Lupin's Bride to make a return and play a more important role this time around. Slim Suspense mentions to Hitomi about meeting again someday and Lupin's Bride does know Heinz and all. Shame i would have to delay this even longer than ever. Since i'm watching this on BD and one of the sub files only had up to Season 1 (Episodes 36). No one has uploaded Episodes 37-73 so far and i have the DVD's, but it's hard to go back from BD's to DVD, especially for an 80s shows like this. Guess i'll wait. tmsubs seems promises to give all the subs from 1-73, but due to poor health it's been delayed quite some time now. https://tmusubs.wordpress.com/ But i'll wait for it for sure. Guess this is also the time to check Golgo 13 now that i saw that Hitman guy looking like him XD Amazing stuff! This is why Cat's Eye is one of my favorite 80s shows ever along with Zeta and ZZ Gundam. I probably should go ahead and watch City Hunter as well since it's from the same creator(Tsukasa Hojo) Can't wait to finish this show with Paris as setting!! Lots of revelations waiting to be made and hopefully we finally see what kind of a man Heinz is. Can't wait for it!!! |
| Nice to see Hitomi and Toshi finally kiss, excluding her giving him air in that bank vault episode way back. XD Well that ends the first half of the series, on a cliffhanger no less just as the girls found a real lead on their father. No preview for the next episode so I'm guessing production probably stopped for a bit after this episode. The show aired 73 episodes from July of 83 to July of 85, effectively 100 weeks, so clearly there musta been a break for several months. |
| So... now that the sisters are gone Cats Eye will cease to be in Japan. Won't this be a very easy lead for the police? Dunno..... |
| FINALLY!!!!! i feel like i've been waiting for that kiss for a million years!!!! man.... Hitomi running after Toshi and calling out to him, Toshio turning around surprised and answering her back..... then there were the backgrounds and the sparkles and everything..... all capped with Toshi holding Hitomi up in the air..... bravo! i fucking loved it. i wasn't sure when (or if) they were ever gonna kiss (i think they should have been kissing regularly at this point in their relationship!), but it was as magical as i wanted it to be. what i didn't like was that the actual kiss was only on the screen for like three seconds >:( fuck that! it should have been on the screen longer and from more angles! oh well. it is what it is i guess hahaha. damn that Toshi though! gonna be oblivious till the end i guess >:( that motherfucker. his encouraging response to Hitomi leaving on vacation was what i hoped it'd be. but damn it, i couldn't believe he didn't tell her he loves her before she leaves!!!! liking Toshi is so fucking frustrating!!!!! and wow! Cat's Eye is going to Paris! didn't see a change of setting coming but i'm down! i got comfortable with the heist of the week format that seemed to be the norm, but it looks like serious developments are really unfolding! i'm excited! |
