I can't say that I'm too supportive of a sequel to Origination, being that it ended perfectly anyway. An addition to the franchise would only ruin the aria-esque structuring (musical form, ABA as reflected in both the episode counts and names of each season) unless it were an OVA.

On the contrary, I'm interested to see the developments of the characters in the future. Perhaps we'll have a glimpse of Alicia's husband or see Ai as a single.

Do you think Aria the Avvenire will benefit the franchise as a whole?

with the fanbase, and the production thus far, I can't imagine it going downhill at all.

personally i think it'll be beneficial.

I'll watch it and find out.

I don't think it will be as good as the other seasons and I also think that Origination ended it perfectly... but I don't care, I want to see this so much!

Yeah, I'm more apprehensive than excited. ~

I need to know what this project is about before I can say that. Original anime TV series, original anime OVA, anime adaptation of some of the chapters that weren't in the anime, or OVA adaptation.
There hasn't been anything new in the series since 2008, so it's not like it can hurt the franchise. If it's bad you can safely tell people to just ignore it. On the other hand, this might inspire the author to return to the world of Aria in a new series, or maybe continue on a la Genshiken.

Assuming it's just a sequel OVA it'll likely be great

If it's a whole series.. it'll probably be good but unless Amano actually watches the story I think it won't be as good as it could be
I'm just a big visual novel fan but have also watched quite a bit of anime and played a bunch of games. Avatar is Mashiro from Making*Lovers and Kotori from Rewrite.

Well, im not sure if alot of people are like me but if they are, its all about who voices who. If they switch Akari's seiyu with someone who doesnt fit her character it would be hard to watch. Kinda like how for the reboot of courage the cowardly dog they replaced Eustace's dead voice actor with Wallace Shawn, it didn't fit.

Isn't it stated as a "project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of the first Aria TV series" rather than an actual tv series?

i don't think they should have continued though. it feels like they're just trying to make money off of what's been popular, like Sailor Moon Crystal.

At least they aren't going to use CGI on Aria.

I'm pretty optimistic about the new series. Sure, we don't know much about it yet, but at the very least, we'll be able to see akari and the others, and neo venezia. Even if it might not be as good as origination, I'm sure that what we'll get will enjoyable at the very least! :D

It hasn't been confirmed yet if its a sequel to origination, heck we don't even know if its a series, movie, or some kind of ova. So here's hoping that it will be awesome anyways.

I personally want it to be a remake of the first 2 seasons, with extra sprinkles in glorious HD, because while the they're still awesome the animation is slowly showing its age

more aria is good
