| The prince is an idiot. He hasn't seen the weaknesses of the Weißen military, but the weaknesses that all militaries show when faced with the hard reality of war. What can he possibly hope for by surrendering and changing his allegiance? Whatever he or his brother does, Baselland is not staying independent. I expect the cannon will work as well to let them escape as the penny-farthing bike in the race—it'll just barely do if people come up with a good strategy. It's interesting to see the officers from the 17th, who have been so disgraced, coming up with ideas instead of just Baltzer. |
