It's supposed to cure constipation and other such things... it's not used much anymore since it's been proven to really not be very safe and has a risk of infection it's used in anime and manga I guess just because most Japanese people will have heard of it and sticking things in people's butts is funny I dunno why it's translated as leek... he called it "negi" which is what the Japanese call a variety of Welsh onion (also known as green onions, spring onions, and scallions)... leeks and Welsh onions are closely related but in Japan and China Welsh onions are used a lot while leeks really aren't if at all... well in food anyway... |
