Name: Felix Evans
Nicknames: none
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 181 lbs.
State: Austirca, region to be decided with additional info
Personality: Felix is loyal to his nation of Austirca to the level of zealotry. He has been a military sorcerer for going on three years now, a dream he had since childhood and has achieved. Now, he aims to rise up through the ranks in order to better serve his country. His patriotism knows no bounds, often to terrifying ends, and he will show no mercy to those he believes to be enemies of his country. However, he holds cultlike respect for those in power, although should he deem anyone to be a domestic enemy, he will eliminate them with just as much prejudice as a foreigner. Due to his single-minded fervor, his work ethic is often terrifying to others in the military, leading to the nickname “Felix the Fanatic.” On the other hand, the young sorcerers he trains (“Evans’ Boys”) are widely recognized to be the best of the best.
Arsenal/Equipment:
Lance of Teleportation—The sorcerers of [region] are known for using melee weapons as channeling devices for their magical power, often being not incompetent in their use as well. Should this double-ended spear come into high-speed contact with any surface, it can at the user’s discretion teleport them anywhere within a radius of 50 meters. Teleportation does have a delay, and it cannot be used within 1 minute (delay can be decreased to a minimum of 30 seconds with increased mana output).
Dissonance Needles—A set of consumable needles, streamlined for throwing. Should they puncture the skin, clothing or armor of the target, they cause the soul to temporarily shift out of sync with the mind. This causes nearly incapacitating mental dissonance. Use against anti-magic armor will weaken effects as well as those with anti-psychic magical training. Anti-physical or holy armor that cannot be scratched will not have their wearers affected.
Brooch of Reverse Force—The clasp which holds Felix’s cloak has a spell-enabling effect which allows him to expend mana to push off surfaces with increased force. In other words, he can kick off a horizontal structure with unnatural force, and can also channel it through his hands to repel objects. Stopping blades will consume mana at a nearly unsustainable rate. Anti-magic weapons will not even be affected. Spells, due to being nonphysical attacks, are not applicable targets.
Magic: Felix’s specialty is in high-frequency low-distance teleportation. Thus, his spells are focused around that, although there are some low-class spells in other areas in addition to the basic sorcerer’s arsenal.
Portal Runes—a set of tattoos on the back of either hand. Activating them allows him to extend body parts and items through a sort of portal, or continuous teleportation, then retract them.
Electric Dust—contrary to its name, a nonphysical spell in which Felix scatters small specks of mana, which then explode in a stream of electricity, arcing off any nearby metal. Especially useful against armored enemies.
Shadowless Earth—a moderately to highly draining spell where Felix creates numerous human-shaped shells made of dirt, with space inside of them. He then teleports inside them, using them as cover before stepping out and striking, destroying the shell in the process. Can also be used as simple confusion.
Biography: Felix’s family has served in the Austirca military for decades, some having reached even the highest strategic ranks. From an early age, Felix himself has always desired to follow in their footsteps and make a name for himself. His father actually perished in the Great War and was hailed as a hero. Inside, Felix feels he can never amount to as much as his father, since all the sorcerers who died fighting the power of Panovir’s Box are hailed as heroes. In reality, he surpassed his father’s magical power some years ago, a feat not meaning much as he greatly overestimates his family’s power. Many in the military are afraid of him not due to his natural skill but to his fury and anger in combat and in political advancement. Probably the only thing holding him back is his poor diplomatic skills when it comes to establishing and capitalizing on connections. His fighting skills are above average but not exceptional for his rank. He holds his commanding officers in high esteem and would not do anything to disrespect them, often going so far as to severely injure the foolish recruits who do. Now, he believes the way to truly reach the upper echelons of the military is to become one of the few to summon a Guardian.
