THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty much a recap of the first half of the series. It actually recapped most of the important parts, in specifically when Kirito and Sinon fights against Death Gun. Not much else to see but I'm definitely curious to see the next arc soon. |

Recap ep. of the previous 14 eps. in Shino's point of view, w. different OP and ED clips exclusively for the recap. New OP and ED starts next week with new arc. |

Felt a bit like a waste of the slot tbh. Not much of a point to it since this isn't even a split cour show or anything. |

Eh recap episode pretty much, mostly the important parts. I personally would have preferred a filler episode. Idk maybe Sinon getting to know the the girls more by going on a trip with Klein and Kirito as well. Anyway, looking forward to the next arc. The Queen of the Lake. Sounds like it will be full of action. |

If we include this in the episode count, SAO II would be 25 episodes like last season's. I'm disappointed they wasted such a precious resource (meaning episode) on a recap. A Jotenheimr flashback that the first season skipped to prepare for the upcoming Caliber arc would have been much better. Or even The Day After side story to give Sachi fans some solice. Hell, I'd even welcome The First Day to see what Kirito did immediately after leaving Klein in the starting city in the beginning of the death game. dominant said: It's because you're streaming.Anywhere it's up in subs? Pretty much, a waste of the time slot. Would have preferred a filler too. Hopefully the next arc is at least as good. |

ah the obligatory recap episode. I guess I might as well voice my opinions on SAO II and basically the how my concerns on the novel were the same on the screen. My main problem with Gun Gale from when i started reading the book was how unrealistically everyone was taking situations. If Call of Duty will remove an entire map from their game because someone noticed that a quote from the Qur'an in a bathroom (yes that really happened) I could not find it in myself to understand how an extremely popular game such as Gun Gale would continue on to run the game let alone the tournament even after alleged murders were taking place within the game, not to mention how much bad press the VMMO industry would have had after the original SAO. The whole reason the original SAO worked so perfectly for me was because it was a NEW thing, nobody knew anything about this new technology and nothing was supposed to go wrong, so when shit DID start going wrong it was justified that it could not be stopped because measures hadn't been made to stop such a scenario BECAUSE it wasn't supposed to happen. Gun Gale and Elfheim alike both suffer from the fact that okay this happened before so how the fuck could you let it happen again. With that said, I will say that although I found almost NO enjoyment from the Elfhiem arc, with Gun Gale, ironically, I enjoyed the parts where they AREN'T playing the game the most. Those have true emotions attached to them and even in the book I thoroughly enjoyed them. All of the gameplay scenes in Gun Gale just seem so silly in how SERIOUS the players are taking this game. As if it really is a life or death situation (and im not even talking about the people who know about death gun) like I said before in the original SAO it was justified but now it's just silly. Nonetheless it's still fun to watch. Overall this anime so far is exactly the same as how i felt when i read the manga. It's fun but I can't really think about it for too much without getting extremely critical. |

I think your forgetting that all of the gameplay scenes included only those who take the game very seriously(aka professionals).. and if you play GGO well enough you could live on the money you make through it so they need to play as if their life was on the line to make the big $$ if I were in the situation of GGO without fear of real world death I would still act as if my life was on the line because I wouldn't want to lose at all Gamez are srsz business you know :) |

A recap based on Sinon's point of view. I liked the diferent OP and ED they did here. The episode covered the most important parts. And I kinda feel it was needed, like Sinon clearing her thoughts on this episode, and closing everything that happened. |

Can someone explain why Sinon and Kirito seemed liked the only allied pair for the tournament? If alliances weren't against the rules, it would seem like you'd have a much better shot teaming up with 3 or 4 mates and then fighting it out in the end after everyone else is already dead. |
