| On topic. I'm slightly disappointed that the Water God was Fodderized. Sure it was Orstred she was facing, But the way she quickly got eliminated as a threat is disappointing in its own way. I mean it was necessary to kill her immediately as explained but still..Felt like there's not much resistance. |

Well certainly Sylphy is a Genius(Learning King/Emperor magic skill in a short time is already a big biiiig achievement on its own) Also she's training everyday with magic as far as I'm aware and hit a bottleneck due to no one is capable of teaching them new magic anymore I don't think Sylphy is that good in the Sword category. She's fully a Mage type as far as I'm aware. That and they can certainly hold their own but Rudeus is just way way over their league with his Laplace factor tbh. |

| Reida got demolished.. Wahahaha million cheers for Orsted!!! XD So Eris is overwhelmingly strong 1v1 but she is very weak in group battles aka 3P. XD Maybe next time. Rudeus, training again... I hope this time he trains his healing abilities more... God rank atleast, so the threat of magic stone disease to his family will go away... Hoping... And a possibility of 4P in the future? XD |

| I didn't like v18 that much, thought we'd get vs Man God action and more of Orsted, but instead we got Linia and Pursena :(. Unfortunately no story progress in this volume. The only thing I liked were the two chapters at the end about Julie, it was great to read something where she plays a role again, she was a bit lost in the story and hardly played a role, so I was surprised that the chapter got not just one illustration, but two. |
| Anyone that wonders wtf is this above all about, the contents of WN vol 16 = LN Vol.17, but I guess further in the past the Asura arc was WN vol18?! Whatever, now this page should only be used for the volume that comes after SoL style. --------------------- I was afraid this volume was gonna take a long time to read, and this was also the first new volume and piece of story I had read from the series for the longest time (since I eventually halted the WN and just waited for the LN to finish). Initially, I read the LN till vol8-9, then caught up and had to read the WN, which I did till WN vol17 or 18 (Asura royal fight), I will come back again to the series to read from LN vol.10, up to now. So I spend a lot of time backtracking in a sense, the LN is just more polished and I wanted that to be the way to ultimately experience it. So volume 18 was new story content in like 3-4 years of reading the series, and I read it easily enough, nothing very exciting happened, but there were enough new developments to either Rudeous powers, his position, or his family, so things were still interesting, FOR the most part, I had to read those side adventures faster cuz I was getting a bit bored of the LN focusing on newly introduced side characters that would most likely never appear again. It was still an enjoyable volume and in particular I liked the development we got for Julliette, adorable to see, and I liked seeing the Linia and Pursena again, yes they can be a bit too full of themselves at times, but I never truly wanted to see them gone, they are part of Rudy's circle of friends and help to build the comedy of the show. In particular, the scene with Aisha and Linia, and the sunglasses, behaving like underworld bosses, was too hilarious, I really wanna see that animated! This volume also builds the next one nicely, and after this ends, I immediatly started reading volume 19! |
