| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Okay, well I guess I am glad that I watched this, but I can't say that I loved seeing it. I will give it a solid "like". I like the character designs. I'll re-watch it for sure. One thing that concerns me is that the person who created this series entry has called it "Nozo x Kimi" when I am wondering whether in fact it should have been called "Nozo x Kimi OVA". After all, this is an OVA series. Perhaps in the future there will be a TV anime series, which would correctly be called "Nozo x Kimi". One precedent is "Kiss x Siss" where they first began the OVA series in December 2008 but then later produced a TV series starting in April 2010. So perhaps some moderator should make a decision about this before too many people comment on this episode thread. | Pretty standard stuff.... Boob grabs and whatnot. Easily forgettable. Seems like that glasses girl got teased a bit. This was as bad as I had thought since the manga actually made me laugh a bit but this didn't. Oh well. |

| The boing sound effects are comical. It's not like I was going to take the series seriously anyway. I was wondering how this is related to Nozoki Ana. I haven't read much of the Nozoki Ana manga though. |
| I liked this much more after watching it several times. Yes, it is easy to dismiss "Nozo x Kimi" (ノゾ×キミ) as just one more Ecchi anime OVA. And of course it crosses the line into Hentai because of the nudity. In fact, it took me a while before I started to see anything memorable in the story. In anime, a very common trope is "the big-boobed girl". And of course, this gets exaggerated to the point where we see G and H cups. Note that, in Japan, their bra size system is different from North America and Europe. So in Japan they go from D to E to F, not from D to DD to DDD. What is almost never explored are the psychological aspects of being so well- endowed. One exception is Sakaki (榊) in "Azumanga Daioh" (2002) who felt self-conscious when the topic came up one time in the girls' changing room, but her self-consciousness was mostly about her height. Also, in "School Days" (2007), Kotonoha Katsura (桂 言葉) had long felt uncomfortable with the attention that people paid to her large breasts, but she had lots of other things to worry about. By contrast, anime series constantly bring up the feelings of inferiority of the ubiquitous "small-boobed girl". The tacit assumption in anime is that a girl's happiness increases with her bra cup size. In real life, however, there are some practical downsides to having large breasts. In this OVA, we meet Yuuki Makino (牧野 ユウキ). Everybody always calls her by her surname "Makino". She herself says that she has a complex about her large breasts. I don't get the impression that Yuuki Makino's case is extreme. But in real life there are a few people with more severe problems to the point where it becomes a mental illness. In "Social Anxiety Disorder" (formerly called "Social Phobia") a person fears negative appraisal by others. This is one kind of Anxiety Disorder. To reduce the anxiety, the person tries to avoid the problem. Often, the attempts to escape the problem actually make the problem worse, which is called "Maladaptive Safety Behavior". Yuuki Makino hunches her back to try to make her breasts appear smaller. However, the impression that she makes by walking with her head down and her back bent over is as bad or worse than if she walked with her head held up high. Part of Psychotherapy for people with Social Anxiety Disorder is to apply "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy" in which the "Maladaptive Safety Behaviors" are first identified and then stopped. Yuuki Makino would have attracted a lot less taunting from the boys while jogging around the track if she had worn a sports bra rather than an ordinary bra. Doing this would be an "Adaptive Coping Strategy", which is a good thing. In fact, possibly Yuuki Makino should look at the option of wearing a sports bra all of the time. Besides that, there are many kinds of bras and women extremely often wear bras that simply don't fit. A related mental illness is excessive self-consciousness with one aspect of one's body which is a kind of "Somatoform Disorder" called "Body Dysmorphic Disorder" (also known as "Body Dysmorphia", "Dysmorphic Syndrome" or Dysmorphophobia"). It takes the form of invasive or intrusive thoughts and can even be delusional. It is basically an "Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder". |

| So.. Bad..... I knew if would be bad, but I didn't think it would be that bad. The plot (though cliche) sounds like it could be fun, but it was just awful. If you wanna see some poorly animated boobs and panties than this is the anime for you. |

| Wow. This was just... awful. I will say though, I am a gigantic fan of the Nozoki Ana manga (it is my favorite smut manga by far) so I was probably expecting a bit more from this coming from the same mangaka. I wasn't a fan of the Nozoki Ana OVA as it didn't really do the manga enough justice imo so my expectations were relatively tempered. However, I wasn't expecting the Nozo x Kimi OVA to be this terrible. Honestly, it may also have a bit to do with the manga as well. I haven't read it (was considering starting if what I saw in the OVA was ok) but the setup, characters, high school setting and the "peeping" dynamtic just don't seem very original or fresh especially when compared with Nozoki Ana. In just looking at the OVA, animation was not good, art was a bit weird, terrible dialogue, etc. Maybe I'm comparing this too much to my beloved Nozoki Ana but all I see in front of me is just pure garbage. |

| Whoever was in charge of the music either trolled us or just plain sucks. Other than that the actual adaptation of the manga was fine... but art was bad (no surprise here really). Still a better adaptation than Nozoki Ana IMHO. 5/10. |
