| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- ... I thought 1 chapter is far too rushed for the mangaka to end this manga, turns out that part II will only be out in Jan 2013 and published in a new magazine which give us weekly chapters instead? Even the almighty Amaya and Shun can't put a dent on 'God' and got crushed like petty flies in return. Still alive and kicking nonetheless. |
| Interesting way to end the series. Since those two have (assuming they did) died, the manga for the new series needs to have main characters, so it'll probably go over to the surviving characters. |

| Was trying to deny that they would end up dead after all that foreshadowing with Icarus and all, and it turns out that they (or at least Shun) are still alive to my relief. |

| Well It's about sure that shun is still alive^^ We still don't know about his past so he will be up for the second part. It could be the strange creature (god or alien) that will let him live who knows? |

| Well, Shun is still conscious falling and since he is the main character I'm pretty positive he's going to survive. Considering he survived the blast too a good chance Amaya is still alive as well. Although I'm not sure since it only showed Shun being conscious. |

| I don't think they both died but if the new serie comes with "2", that would be mean it was the last time we saw them. Anyway, should we call it prequel or something.. |

| This manga feels to me like when you don't hear the punchline to a joke. It had a lot of potential but didn't quite live up to my expectations. I'm still itching to see part II, hoping it will be better. I give this manga 7/10. |

| Total BS for everyone who was enjoying THIS story. The new one on the weekly isn't bad but it def'n wasn't worth sacrificing the monthly story. |

| Great ending, but tough to accept, knowing that the sequel will have other characters, I hope the author at some point shows us what happened after that point with the rest of the group, and hopefully Shun and Amaya survived, difficult though but what a waste of good characters if they died. |

| Well damn.... time to read the second one. This seriously gives me Real Account flashback, and I love these series. A second manga with different POV where the main MC will probably be back to the second series? Hell yeah. |

| Well, that was actually one of the FEW times when I have to admit the ending was both not expected (at least until the Icarus story which sort of spoiled what would happen, but that was kind of last moment revelation, so it didn't leave a bad taste, on the contrary - it felt rather good how it all turned out, that could even pass as a decent ending without there being part 2 if they would actually die) AND enjoyable. And that is only part 1 of the two parts.. let's hope the part 2 will live up to my expectations. Those 21 episodes were packed with enough content for you to immerse into the story, characters you can relate to, even despite them being replaced every now and then. Having only 21 episodes really made you feel that you were reading what you need to and no useless filling for the sake of having more chapters and prolonging manga like the popular series do nowadays. The art could be better, but it never mattered too much to me.. and it wasn't exactly bad, but it was kind of.. generic is the word, I guess. Been a long time since I had so much fun reading a manga, a 9/10 and adding it to the favorite as well. That feeling when you think you won't ever find an enjoyable manga again and manage to stumble onto something great is just priceless. |

| This manga reminds me of Gantz. A good idea that fails to utilize its potential. The ending was abrupt and much more worthless than Gantz. 5/10 Only difference is that Gantz was good to look at compared to this. I don't like the artsyle bleh |

It didn't really take long for me to conclude that I preferred how the story was handled in the live action adaptation compared to its source material but this ending was very mind-boggling to say the least. Didn't expect the author to do Shun and Amaya dirty like this lmao They're most likely fine in the sequel but I don't really feel like reading further. This was a short and okay read, at least. |

| That was pretty underwhelming. I mean.... Yeah... 5/10 I don't know where to begin tbh. The shonen tropes? The awful pacing? Boring characters? The awful conclusion? The awful development? The art was decent and the games were entertaining, that's all the positives I can give it. Objectively speaking though, this manga sucked in almost every other way. If it wasn't entertaining to watch the games play out, I'd give it a 3/10. And even then, the games weren't even that great... you'd find better quality ones in most other death game manga (Liar game, Tomodachi game to name a few). I did note though that squid game decided to rip off this manga pretty blatantly. Literally 2 of the same exact games featured in both series. |
