"Legion Master - There are rumors, rumors stating that he in fact, is still alive."
The oddly shaped blue avatar, with quite the skim, samurai-like body, kneed before his rightful king. Could the rumors be true? Were there any survivors of the Great 5 Originators?
"Devoured by the hands of God - You expect me to believe such nonsense? Off with you ... We have more precarious matters at hand."
The attendant politely bowed and left the 2nd generation King who was preoccupied with his slumber of thoughts.
" ... Is he coming for me? To take back his throne ... ? No - The grave situation at hand is far more alarming. The Calamity must be dealt with.

HUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
The roaring of burst linkers' battle cry. Many had teamed up together to engage in a Beast Class enemy - The stage was Demonic City.
Swift, massive claws teared apart the limbs of multiple linkers in one swing. The enemy was shaped to be similar to that of an oversized wolf. The linkers didn't seem to have much progress with the enemy considering that the battle had been ongoing for an hour now.
"HP's almost at yellow now? These losers". A chuckling reply from Carrot Shaman - Level 4, standing next to a veteran Originator: Chartreuse Void - Level 6.
"Shaman - It's time to leave. Too many linkers have swarmed by the same place. You know what this means, don't you ... ?"
"It's yet to happen across this away, Void - Hahaha! Being overly conscious despite your all-around supreme abilities, I see."
"If my warning is not heeded, then I will take my leave."
Void appeared to have manipulated his body in a surprising manner. It was almost inhuman, as one would call - Shape manipulation of his body. It appeared as though he had headed for the nearest log-out point.
Shaman did not even take Void's suggestion into consideration. This one time was the only instance where it was idiotic to laugh off what he said as a joke.
Almost about to push the Beast Class enemy into "yellow" health, the linkers noticed a strange phenomenal that had taken place. The monster tumbled down under its own weight and "dispersed" into the wind.
"What happened? Did we somehow manage to kill it right here?"
"No way! It took us all that time to push his health to yellow y'know .."
An ominous feeling.
Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger. Danger.
Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death. Death.
Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured. Devoured.
GUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
A monstrous atrocity emerged from the behind of the enemy that was defeated. With one hand, he held a legendary class sword, which was pulsing with an immediate, red glow. His overall armor was more than bulky enough - It seemed more ridiculously reinforced than three solid layers of steel combined.
You could not call this a burst linker. You could not. The only thing that could describe the immediate presence before them, is the embodiment of death itself.
"I-I-It c-can't be ..."
"T-The Calmity? C-Chro-"
A wire hook was shot from the monster's hand that had not been preoccupied with holding his blade. It glued itself onto one of the nearby linkers and immediately dragged him to the atrocity.
Kuh. Kuh. Kuh. Kuh.
What could now be heard was a ripping and crunching sound. The linker's head was being devoured whole.
Fear could not describe what these linkers were feeling. There wasn't even an attempt to address the being before them - All these insignificant insects could only run ... run and never look back.
Wings sprouted from the bulky avatar. Such a heavy avatar, and yet he flew. Flew faster than they ran. And killed. And devoured. And savoured.
Heads went flying with a single cut of the Starcaster. Not even the simplest retaliation of blows could be landed, with the power of Future Prediction Calculation. Flames covered the entire, now-bloody, battlefield.
" ... "
" Shi-"
Shaman's head went flying. Within a moment, the avatar had somehow appeared before him. His head went flying, and was devoured before he could react. This was all possible because of his psuedo-teleportation ability, Flash Blink.
It took roughly three minutes, give or take a few seconds. Three minutes for the entire battlefield of burst linkers to be completely and utterly wiped.
Savoring the last meal, he stared into the sky. There was much rage in his heart. Darkness that could never be cleansed. An appetite that would never be satisfied.
His wings propelled himself elsewhere to look for more prey.
This was but one of the few tales of Chrome Disaster. |
