Here the question :

Am I the only reader of the novel watching the anime for the sake of knowing exactly how they're going to butcher the LN ?
At least I'll be able to explain to an anime viewer why the series isn't this bad, why the hero is more interesting than in the anime and others things like theses ?

Because the first episode already is pretty bad. I wonder of they're going to animate battles if they can't do a 1vs1 correctly...

You know: When 99% of all LN adaptions that are ecchi/harem/romcom are "butchered" it might not be the anime that sucks but the writing....
Steel Ball Run anime when?

No.
Let's take an example.

Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi, the last season's random generic harem. Let's be honest, the novel is below average.
But the anime adaptation is horrific. Why ?

All the scenes about the plot were cut. Eck, they didn't even explain the main point of the series. Action scenes were partially cut.
They added ecchi scenes, and amplified those from the novel.

Maybe we should ask why japan mass produce light novel adaptation to turn them all in a generic harem/ecchi anime, cutting their story and originality from every of them.

Here Seirei tsukai no Blade Dance novel is average. 3 minutes in the first episode, and my eyes were bleeding. When you butcher an average story you got the shit we're eating every year.
And why they're only adapting the introduction of every novel.

12 episode, one character introduced per arc > End of the anime. Each time the same thing.
Too bad, the story usually begins after the introduction of the characters, but we never get to see it.

Last season, Kanojo ga Flag tried hard to go past the introduction. They rushed everything for the sake of telling us "Look, there is something after !".

^ i agree on what was said

Also kanojo, i enjoyed the random shenanigans, but they hardcore pushed plot in which turned me off.

It was: 1:get girl. 2:get another girl. 3:more girls. 4:shove in plot

Thats the basis for every LN adaptation of this kind of genres

Except DxD, i will defend that to my last breathe because the anime was awesome and its getting a third season
Just an anime fan, doing what an anime fan does

Crap is crap, the advantage of LNs/Mangas is that they leave room for your imagination and you can imagine stuff better than what the authors are capable of making. While anime adaptations have a lot less room for that, they have to fit the material and make something compelling in 1 cour. Which isn't a trivial task when the source material isn't brilliant stuff. Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi, Seirei tsukai no Blade Dance and Kanojo ga Flag are all crap, any "story" and "originality" existed only in your head and it's not the anime crew's fault that they exposed that fact.

Yeah, it's nice to see your point.

You know there's thing like crap, horrible, average, bad, very bad. Things like this.
About what I said before, like Seikoku no Dragonnar. The novel is bad. But the anime is worse. It's not before they couldn't fit the material.

They didn't even try to fit it. They took out the story, they took out the originality. They kept the ecchi, added some more ecchi, and that's all.
When an anime didn't even explain why the main girl is what she is, I think this is the anime crew's fault, no matter how many times you say this is crap.

Of course, to adapt a novel they must cut things. But they're kinda always cutting the plot and the originality of the story. Seirei tsukai no blade dance is an average novel. I'm rating it 5/10 or so.
Still, i'm pretty damn sure there's a story. I so remember reading it.

Now, you can hate it all you want, not my problem.

The thing know as originality is a myth.
As of 27/7/14 I have decided trap anime Sword Art Online II has more appeal than Mahouka.

I actually enjoyed the Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi LN lol. (Though the anime did indeed heavily butcher it by removing all of the main plot and added more tentacle rape instead.)

I agree that the Seirei Tsukai no Kenbu anime is not up to par with many reader's expectations, such as them taking out a lot of Kamito's badass lines, removing almost all backstory, and not caring to explain the mechanics of the world, etc. but it's inevitable since there are no such things as perfect adaptions. I'm just glad the anime is actually pretty decent unlike last season's blunder with Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi and Date A Live II.
