I read the only last chapter raw even though i can't read Korean language....I think here's what happened. Spoiler alert
The fight ended, Teacher is in hospital undergoing surgery and an image of him talking with his father appeared. They were probably talking about what they have done in life. The the Teachers heartbeat stops on the machine. Then i think in his mind, the Teacher felt that he still have to protect the children's so he left his father and his heartbeat came back. Even though i couldn't understand it, i found it very sad for it to end there....But i guess the weigh in the Teacher's heart is now gone
