| Glad that Niwe's dead... All of the other characters, outside of Hakuoro and Eruruu - so Karura, Touka, and even Benawi - really shone in this episode. Karura especially was... impressive. The episode itself, though, was unexpectedly gory... Wonder if Hakuoro's going to be suffering from guilt and whatnot after this...? |
| I just watched a 300 scene (the battle at the beginning) some Star Wars shit (Niwe talking like a Sith) and the usual guy turns monster shounen shit. Anyway great episode and series, even downloaded the game. |

| It was lame that they used the same scene of Hakuoro fighting. I mean the scene where he cuts a spear or something with his fan. I can't get enough of Yue's laugh lmao. Hakuoro's true form o.O much gore Karura was a beast, though I hoped she would swing her sword when they were running around her. |

Karura was the star of this ep though, her slicing that dude in half was just awesome. I love how they had to up the gore in this show just because of her lmao. Also thank god that old fart is finally dead, seriously that dude was the most annoying character in this show. He just felt so out of place and had no real motive besides the fact that he was insane. Glad Hakuoro finally got rid of the fan as well, I always thought he looked silly fighting with it. |

| Makes more sense in the game when he retreats behind a couple of more concentrations of troops and they play up his back story of being a hunter, but yeah, in the end he really is just a crazy old man who is being used by the real powers behind the thrones. It's always a pleasure to see Touka and Karura in action. |

I have the feeling that this mask is a seal although if so can how come he can still become that monster. I'm really intrigued about his past. Anyway for this episode his close commanders were impressive especially Karura who simply smashed everyone in her way but hey didn't expect the gory scenes too Also about time they saw the old yamayura village and them paying their respects! |

| Seems like some of you guys also share my dissatisfaction for this episode. First, reusing the Hakuoro fighting scene is just cheap, and it's so noticeable because it was a cool scene the first time around. You'd think that the animation studio would do something to conceal or make it less noticeable as possible, but no, lmao they didn't put any effort at hiding the lack of budget at all. Second, Niwe is a lame antagonist. He boasts about being strong and all that crap, but had been so passive up until his death, and he basically awakened a beast inside Hakuoro for nothing. The scene where he ran away from Hakuoro just to appear 'cool' sitting on his throne is very laughable. His laugh is comically annoying. So this guy basically is a plot device to awaken Hakuoro, and he amounts to nothing more in the end. What a wasted opportunity, a waste of character. Also dislike how OP Karula is, she can basically do whatever she wants in battle and she would be fine, a little too one-dimensional for my taste. Not sure what happened, but I noticed that the show has gone full R-17 since a few episodes back, and the series started out with tons of censor, didn't even notice a drop of blood in the first episodes. Personally it's a bit too gory for no reason at all. I don't think there's a need to show intestine falling out after being decapitated in half, despite the realism of it. This makes the 2nd arc in a row which have disappointed me. Hopefully it gets better from this point on. P.S. Eruru was annoying the hell out of me, for being on the battefield to do nothing. Why did they bring her along, foreal. |

| this show has never been that great on animation, that's for sure but this episode was really enjoyable anyways. i didn't expect him to literally turn into some weird monster thing lol. |

| Hakuoro's beast transformation, even when only partially applied to his limbs, is pretty effective. Laughed at Touka throwing her sword to Hakuoro rather than his fan. Even she realised his signature "weapon" is crap. |
