| After listening to them for a while, I learned of a few of their influences and just went for it and listened for a bit. SOme of them are really great, particularly Beat Happening, Dinosaur jr., Butthole Surfers, The Raincoats, and Daniel Johnston. I didn't really get into the Meat puppets as much...and I tried Pearl Jam but couldn't really devote myself to them either. I don't know if this is in the same realm, but Nirvana somehow turned me on to Radiohead to. Lol, and suprisingly, Nirvana is rooted in alot of metal so I've gotten into that quite a bit to. Melvins, Fang, Gwar, Mastodon, just random crap. |
