| I usually hate threads like this and i apologize for making this i just feel compelled to for some reason, but i feel like this is really why this series comes off so terrible. For most shows with absurd premises that pull in very serious drama for example gurren laggan would at least acknowledge its stupidity and its self awareness of its absurdity allows the show to take it to different places even in the more dramatic tones. With this though, its taking itself very seriously pretty much from the get go, it has some less serious moments but they are never in self awareness of itself but rather just some terrible sex jokes contained in its world. The fact that the show feels so disconnected on how utterly moronic the premise as well as how plot points are progressing makes the series feel surreal in the bad way. Self awarness can go a long way to help a show and this series has 0 |

| Ugh. I'm SO tired of everything being self-aware. It's very half-assed and non-committal. Like, "Yeah we know you think it's kinda stupid...but we think its stupid too, so its okay right?" Fuck that. If I think it's stupid, then its your job to sell me on it. But if you think it's stupid then you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. If you don't believe in your project, why should I? No, this series is just the right amount of insanity for me. I love it. |

I love it. I agree with this. I also think it just keeps getting better with each episode, but thats typical for a Kawamori series(i.e Macross, Macross F, Basquash!). I have very high hopes for the last episode. |
| I'm enjoying this because it has decent looking women, decent characters, decent villains (like Caesar). It also has a lot of unpredictable things It is not a great anime, but it is good and I'm enjoying it. Also, according to your list you gave kill la kill, code geass, another and death note a low score. For me these are one of the best animes I've seen. Maybe every one have different taste |
