| I can sense a major shift in the direction of the series. Unlike previous episodes where problem gets solved within the episode, this time we seem to have a long-running issue that does not have clear answer and solution, and the person is even staying in the shrine with a supernatural creature to boast. Potentially the world around Makoto will get a lot more complex as I can foresee close interaction and relationship to build up between Makoto and Saotru. |
| So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old? I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
| I like the addition of a bit of tension. I hope that Makoto can help Satoru with his issues... I can see them as a couple pretty easily. They have a lot in common! |

| Hello, Kuroko/Hakuryu! Welcome to this show. Objective rating: 3.5/5 Enjoyment rating: 2/5 Wayyyy too much angst and drama for an SOL show. Annoying little fox character ruined my experience too. I was expecting Kuroko Satoru to be a lot more chill instead of angsty but nope. Obviously, he's gonna follow after Haru next episode, they're gonna talk it out and everything's going to be okay again. :| Just like episode 1 when Makoto pissed off Gin. I don't mind if he becomes a love interest but don't add it right away. ^^; |

| 4/5 The boys are always odious, (who knows why) then if they are new entry even worse! XD Narration smooth and slow so you remain still hungry as a wolf! LOL Plot progresses, but I would like a little more than folklore in history, I love to know more about Japan! * _ * Designs that keep the hallmark of simplicity even in costume design. Very beautiful colors, the backgrounds are not so bad! |

I have a general interest in folklore, legends, fairy tales, etc. I checked through some old books I have on Japanese folklore and found out fascinating legends regarding foxes, fox-spirits, and Inari. It is interesting that Makoto and Satoru both have an inherited ability to see and interact with their heralds, and this parallels old Japanese legends about certain families having an association with foxes. Traditionally the fox was considered a creature with supernatural abilities and attitudes toward them were somewhat ambivalent. The fox could be dangerous and possess or bewitch a person, but also could sometimes be benevolent. It was considered bad luck to injure or kill a fox for fear that the fox's kin would bring down vengeance upon the person who caused the injury. In the show both Gintaro and Haru have become shrine heralds after having been injured or killed by people, but were both treated with kindness by Makoto's and Satoru's ancestors. Maybe this mitigated the bad luck that would have otherwise befallen the farmer that stoned Gintaro and the driver that ran over Haru? |
| The drama in this series sucks ass. Like not only how it is executed, but generally what it is about. Still, I can't help but somehow like/enjoy the anime.. because it reminds me so much of Natsume. I really have a soft spot for that ;w; |
| Two new faces that do seem quite interesting with the boy having somewhat the same past as Makoto and another fox spirit who's rather annoying... but well a pretty decent episode all by all! |

| Was looking forward to the new characters but I don't really like them much ... I feel bad for Satoru for getting adopted into a family like that after his grandpa died, but MAN Haru is so annoying! Such a whiny brat, just complaining SO much about Makoto and their shrine ... would've liked to see Gin or Satoru really put him in his place >_< Makes sense that the latter wants him to go back to their shrine since he IS the herald ... but I guess for some reason he's really attached to Satoru. I wonder what Gin means at the end when he could disappear though ...? Well, either way I hope this gets resolved quickly next episode ... or at least make him a bit more sympathetic because he's kinda ruining this for me :S |
| Satoru and Haru debut bringing some baggage induced drama. Satoru seemed pretty harsh on poor Haru, but then he had a rough past. Let's see how this might be resolved... |
