A lot of really old manga there (of course I am talking about when it was published in Japan)....
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

I wish we had this sort of ranking in the UK. Then again, maybe it's better that we don't. I get the feeling that sales over here are even more concentrated on a tiny handful of series than they are in the US.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

Titan selling isn't really surprising, given the huge fanbase on both side of the Pacific. Was even more obvious with last week's ranking, which was pretty much all about the Titans.

What I'm more interested in is WataMote selling quite well, too, as I really want that franchise to succeed.

I still need to get the K-ON! college manga, and I want the HS one as well, just to complete the collection.

And I'm curious about Inu x Boku SS, as well.

Wow, Black Butler is #1? That's kinda surprising to me. I only bought the first 3 volumes,(1-2 years ago) but they are just sitting in my collection because I dropped that series. I'm waiting to get the next Loveless volume. Also...Does anyone know why Karneval isn't in the bookstores? Is the series not officially in English yet? I was going to get some for my birthday, but I can only find it in German, French and Japanese >.>
"Hey, assbutt!"—Castiel, Supernatural

"Do you ever have a problem where you just don't know how to reply to an argument-- not because you don't know the answer, but you just don't where to begin? Like, the foundation of knowledge you'd need to impart to this person before you could even begin to drag them out of their sinkhole of ignorance would cost thousands of dollars, if it were coming from a University?" -MAL in a nutshell.

I'm so glad Shingeki No Kyojin is selling so well, and also for me was a suprise that Watamote is even there since the show got critics about the sad parts (i love the show tho) and also happy about Bleach in the lask week since the manga is goin...well everybody knows.

I'll say. It's probably the most liked anime/manga out there right now, sans Naruto/Bleach. And since it's finished airing, everyone's going to be eating up the manga.

Tell me about it. I never once bought a English version of Kuroshitsuji, even though I love that manga, thanks to my friend warning me about the poor translation quality. Taking a glimpse at it myself, dropped that and kept to the scans, and if I do desire the manga, I'd buy it raw. Despite the poor translations, I guess some people buy it for the art work, or just for collective purposes.. Who knows, I just keep to the scans/raws and ignore it.

Though I do hate rankings like this... They are never truly accurate if you think about it. There is always that possibility that they over looked something... so I never take these things at face value, but I bet it's fun for some to see something they like doing so well. Bravo to you people.

Anyway, to answer your Karneval question, moomoonya1, it has yet to be licensed. Right now, you can only read it online.

The main reason I buy the mangas is because it's my favorite series, and it makes me feel bad to read the scans online and not support the manga financially. Especially since Toboso was so strongly against people distributing her work for free. I do read the scans as they come out, but then I buy the volumes when they are released. :)
