High School DxD (light novel)
Which option will help the most in DXD getting a season 3 in 2014?
| The best things us fans can do is to go out and buy the Blu rays, DvDs, THE LN, Manga and other merchandise, because the more sales there are the more uppertunity for more anime that's how the anime industry works the higher the sales the higher the chances for more adaptations |
| Last time High School dxd averaged around 10k BD/DVD sales per volume. If the show could replicate these very strong numbers than a season 3 would virtually be guaranteed. Of course Light Novel sales are important too. Season 2 of Date A Live was announced after a robust boost in LN sales. |

| As long as the sales for the LN, manga, Blu Ray etc are all high, DxD is virtually guaranteed to keep going on and on and on (LN and anime/manga) - the best thing to do is buy the product, to keep those sales high so a new season is made. Although season 3 is basically guaranteed, this is good to keep in mind for future seasons as well. |
| Here's my 2 cents on this issue: Most of the time sales are really only reflected within Japan since their domestic market is first priority before us. Any sales that occur internationally are extra profit over top of that. So if it maintains its popularity after a few months, it is highly likely that a season 3 could be in the planning stages or possible early production. But any little bit helps and a bigger fan base will always be a plus. |

| Cheapest method buy merchandise: BD and merchandise sales outweigh LN sales for this. You can always import BDs but it's cheaper to buy a daki or a figure. |

| I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there is probably nothing you can do. Sure, you can go ahead and buy the DxD merchandise, but i really don't think that's going to increase your chances of seeing S3 in 2014. I'm not saying S3 won't come out next year, but i don't think it's going to come out any faster just because sales are going up. My thinking is that they are already in early development for S3, and the time it takes to create and put out the season won't decrease because of high popularity/sales. Unless they hired more staff. Just be patient, S3 is coming soon, and there will be an OVA or two in the meantime probably. |

| Well, really all of those things will help. How much money they can make from an anime is motivation for seasons to follow up with it. |

| Well I just ordered my Rias Gremory cast offable figure of this new season (naked apron and sexy swimsuit!) So I hope If we fans buy Highschool DXD new merchandise from AmiAmi or wherever we can purchase it, we´ll be contributing for a third season!!!! |

I just hope they don't try and cram vol 5 & 6 into a 12 episode season Vol 5 is longer than any 2 of the other volumes and so much happens it would be a shame to see them mess up now seeing they are sticking so close to the light novels so far. |

| I think Ichiei Ishibumi will announce a Season 3 in Volume 17 or 18 (there are 16 volumes of the novel so far).From what i heared HSDxD is realy popular in Japan the LN especialy.As long as they sell as much Blu rays and DVDs the higher the chance of a Season 3,tho I think its in work (early stages). Spoiler (sry dont know how to do that spoiler thing if you want to show it or not...): I just cant wait to see the scene where Issei talkes with Rias's parents at dinner.Ahhh i vant to see that so badly. |

| ^ I wouldn't say they're 'toying with us', but adapting volumes 5 and 6 for season 3 is going to take quite a lot of time. Especially if they want to do a great job. |
