This is the city where a large percentage of the Humans on En Corvis live. This surreal, bustling metropolis is a major center of activity on the island and is often frequented by Myths as human technology is very popular among many of them (though some Myths despise it as well). Humans are known for their love of recreation and have many forms of entertainment in the city ranging from cafe's and five star restaurants to arcades and movie theaters. Among the most popular and bustling of districts is the trade district where all sorts of shops line the streets. This is where one would most likely see Myths in this city, often browsing the curious inventions borne from the Humans technology. |

Masaru walked among the streets of Alteia. He would often visit mortal lands like this, though at random. He didn't really worry about having to watch out for people recognizing him as anyone or anything skilled enough to be able to sense his aura probably wouldn't have sensed his kind of aura before anyway. He was distracted from his wandering by a live show put on by some dancers. Most of the things humans did and have were unknown to him and his realm, so it was quite easy for something to pique his interest. |

As Masaru wandered aimlessly through the city of Alteia, many things could be heard. Some men talked about a woman that devoured men's hearts and also about the new Corruption taking part at the Cursed Lake. Aside from that, there was also information about the Phoenix waking up one more time, to make the Burning Blossoms burn. Amidst the crowd, a man looked calmly to Masaru, overlooking his progress. The old man calmly followed Masaru, as if wanting to see where he was going. His presence was very very weak, making him disappear between the humans. |

Once the dancers finished Masaru continued to roam the streets, soaking in everything interesting he heard from the humans around him. Whether he didn't notice someone following or noticed but just didn't care was unknown as he didn't turn around, examine his surroundings or give any other indication that he knew. He simply continued to wander around aimlessly. |

The old man kept following him until he decided to show himself. Using his absurd and ancient aura to call his attention. The aura was not only very old but also absurdly powerful. So powerful that, if he really wanted, he could destroy Alteia in the blink of an eye, leaving nothing but dust behind. The old man sat on a bench in the middle of the park of the city and awaited to see if Masaru would come to meet him. He had a mission for Masaru after all. |

The moment the aura increased Masaru stopped in his tracks. He quit his sightseeing and walked calmly to the park, wearing a scowl on his face. Once he arrived Masaru simply stood in front of the old man, looking down at him with a scowl and his hands shoved in his pockets awaiting for an answer. |

The old man looked upward to Masaru and smiled calmly. "Oh, hello there, Shinigami. A pleasure to meet you. Please, come and sit beside me, I have something to ask you." He told Masaru as he calmly patted the place available beside him. Though his aura was incredibly ancient and powerful, it held no intimidation at all. |

Masaru calmly sat beside the old man as asked. Unlike most myths auras, Masaru's was... empty. Almost as if he didn't exist. Even if he weren't suppressing it for the safety of the weaker humans it would be difficult to pick up. Though his aura would send off an odd feeling to those around him. |

The man smiled happily as he looked upward. "The humans are an interesting species, aren't they? They think that the higher the building the better. Someday, humans will be much stronger than they are now, indeed." He mused to himself as he turned his eyes to Masaru. "Now, now, Shinigami. How long has it been since you last went to the Fade?" He asked directly. |

Masaru merely stared at the man with his usual scowl. The scowl itself didn't mean anything truthfully. It wasn't as if he didn't like this man, he simply always scowled. To the old man's question Masaru simply shrugged. He hadn't been there in a long time, he had no need after all. |

The man smiled once more. "Ah, so I see. You should go there more often. Something will be highly threatening all of En Corvis. Since you protected the humans for a long time, I thought this might interest you." He said, giving Masaru a ring. "This belonged to a woman I long ago saw. She was the Elder Demon Princess, wielder of the dark powers. Now she wanders alone in the untamed land. You should search for her and tell her to meet with the Sage. If you do that quest, I will be very relieved and happy." He told Masaru while chuckling lightly. "My name is Paradox, the God of Time." He presented himself. |

Masaru took the ring and examined it for a bit before nodding to the old man. He would prefer that the humans stay alive as they were the only thing keeping him from dying of boredom. Besides, he somewhat liked humans and wouldn't want to see them get slaughtered randomly. "Takeshi, Masaru." He stated calmly with his voice that was a rarity to hear. |

The ring, encarved in wooden and silver, weared a strange mark on it. Easily recognizable, it was the mark of the Demon Nobility. A head of a demon with two horns, which would be Satan, the King of Demons. The ring also had a heavy aura in it, even though very small. It possesed a dark, obscure aura. Paradox looked toward the skies with a smile. "I see, Takeshi. You should go now. Oh, also, be careful, that demon princess is very powerful. I don't know if you would be able to defeat her on your own." He warned as he layed his back on the bench, slowly closing his eyes. |

"Mm." Masaru nodded slightly to him as he stood up and started walking away from the bench, only for the shadows around him to form into a large oval portal in front of him. Walking through it to quickly exit and to go in search of this Demon princess that was supposedly within the untamed lands. |

Within a small crowd where the sound of an enchanting flute could be heard, Etoile is found in the middle dancing while the crowds of humans and myths gathered around her. The one who was playing the flute was a human musician who offered to help her in exchange of getting his share of money. As Etoile danced gracefully and beautifully, mens' hearts wavered, women gazed in disbelief, and children smiled in admiration. |

Paradox slowly got up and followed the sound that was sweet for the ears. As he stopped to see the beatiful Nymph that stood in front of him. Such a being, he thought they were extinct. However, in the future they were. This means that this lady will certainly be eliminated in a long, long future. Paradox, feeling obligated to help her, looked back to where he came from. Only to see a young woman running toward him. Marina, who had been away for some time was finally back. Marina ran toward Paradox and, when she reached him, she stopped in front of him while panting. "Why!? Oh, why you old baka!? I was searching for you the entire day." She yelled at him, causing everyone to look toward her. When she noticed she quickly looked toward the people back. She went red of embarassment in the same moment. She quickly looked toward Paradox. "Come on, let's get out of here before things get even worse for me." She told him as she turned her back from him and walked away slowly. Paradox did not followed her as he chuckled softly her reaction. "She sure is lively." He mused as he turned back to see the beatiful dance of the young myth. He calmly walked toward the place where the donations where to be made and there he placed a extremely high quantity of money. Enough to make her entire month of pays. "Make good use of this, miss." He said as he lowered his hat lightly. He then turned his back for her and walked away, following Marina. |

Money is a strange thing. A very human concept. Its worth varies greatly depending on where you spend it but its universally seen as something of value. You want to make money? You gotta know how much its worth to some people. The Mages in the sky, for example, don't really value money as much as the Cat Sith tribes but they're enchanted trinkets sell for a killing among the humans. People like me, who grew up in poverty, have a better feel for this kinda stuff than most people or Myths. I sat on a nearby bench and stared, mesmerized, at the beautiful dancing Myth every now and then eying the growing ever growing pile of tips. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw the strange old man donate a small fortune to the dancer and my urge to snatch it all up grew ever stronger. Oh Sasha, why must you be such a kleptomaniac... you don't even need money to live, she probably does! My conscious always tells me not to do it but I can't help it! I have a problem damnit! At this point my foot was bouncing up and down and I was biting my thumb anxiously. Ah... I want to take it. I wanna steal it. |

Takasuke stood behind a girl that was sitting on a bench. He had just appeared there not too long ago and noticed that she seemed anxious and frustrated. Of course, he knew what she was thinking and knew that was exactly what she was. "Hm... A kleptomaniac resisting the urge to take some money? Interesting." He spoke apathetically. It was obvious by his tone that eve though he said 'interesting' he didn't actually think it was. Though he was standing right behind her so she could most easily hear him. |

As soon as I heard the guy behind me comment on my thoughts I felt my teeth break the skin on my thumb and the warm taste of blood fill my mouth. "Ow!" I yelled out loud as I sucked my thumb like a baby, the cut completely healed when I took it out of my mouth. "Who in the hell are you?" I asked, or rather demanded, as I pointed my finger at him in nervously, "A-and I, uh, have no idea what your talking about!". God damn I am a terrible liar... |

Marina was walking before she noticed the young girl talking to the one she knew as Takasuke, a Mage. She stopped in front of the girl and looked toward her with a calm smile. "If you want to steal, you should go to the place where the nobles live. They have some fortunes there and that will be more than enough to make you happy." She stated as she slowly got up and looked toward Paradox. "Ah... We sure have a lot of time, huh?" She mused as she looked towards the sky. Paradox chuckled by seeing Takasuke, the mage that wielded enormous knowloadge. He knew who that kid was as well. The little kleptomaniac with tireless powers. That was quite the skills of her, however that was still a mystery for him and Paradox would not enlightnen the little girl. He looked toward the girl with a smile and moved his hat down, greeting her before continuing to walk ahead. "Sure... We have all the time in the world." He agreed as both walked beside each other, going to the noble areas of teh city. |

"Takasuke." He answered rather blankly. He then turned his attention to Paradox and Marina. "How interesting. It isn't often that gods venture here. Or maybe they do?" He mused before returning his gaze to the girl. "By the way I can read your mind. And for the record, yes, you are a terrible liar." He spoke to her. |

"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" I cursed at him while holding my head and thrashing about like a fish out of water. He's a mage. Oh god he's a mage! And he knows what I'm thinking! Fuck! Shit! I'm terrified of magic, a consequence of a childhood accident. I was so distraught over the the mage that I'd completely ignored what the weird chick and the rich old guy said. All I could think of was trying not to think of anything embarrassing. "What do you want from me?" |

"I just thought your reaction would be amusing. And it was. Don't you think so Kuro?" Takasuke turned to the black cat sitting on his shoulder as he spoke that last part, only to get a meow in return. "You shouldn't be afraid of mages. Some are arrogant nuisances I know but they're nothing to be afraid of." He then paused for a moment and glanced at Haku. "Girl, you may cuss at me all you wish but I would appreciate you being more silent." |

Around the end of her dance when the god made his very generous donation, the human musician almost stopped playing upon the unbelievable sight and his eyes widened. As soon as the dance was done and the crowd clapped and made their own donations, the musician turned his head right and left and looked franticly for the the old man who gave such a great amount while Etoile shifted her gaze between the money and the direction he went from. Etoile sighed then smiled and pointed at the money "Take your promised share, young lad." As soon as she uttered those words to the musician he nodded and grabbed about what seemed like half of the fortune. He ran away hurriedly as if afraid that Etoile would change her mind about giving away such a great amount to him. "Human lads these days...so untrusting." She chuckled and gathered the remaining fortune. "it's rather amusing how that money is important even for a creature of my kind. I would never die of old age nor illness, but since my home is no more...." as those thoughts ran in her mind, she closed her eyes and sighed once again. |

I bit my lip when realized what this schizoid was getting at about being quiet. Turns out I was being pretty loud and that a bunch of people were staring at me. "Do-Don't tell me what to do... asshole..." I said in a lower tone of voice than I'd been using to tell him off, though I could feel my face redden as the gaze of the spectators burning into the back of my head. "The hell you looking at huh!?" I snapped at the crowd in the most delinquent way possible, "Stare at the pretty girl in the skimpy outfit not me!". |

While she was getting ready to go and travel toward her next destination, a white pigeon landed on her shoulder and cocked it's head toward Etoile's ear as if to whisper to her."I see.." The pigeon was indeed whispering something to Etoile, it was warning her of the several powerful auras gathering near her. Etoile pretty much noticed the auras too, but's it has been always her rule to not be hasty and only act if necessary. She was done gathering her things in her big back bag and only a white piece of cloth was out, which was the hooded coat she usually wears so that she won't get any troubling attention. She wore her coat and bag, and walked straight ahead. |

Haku's ears had caught the entire conversation, and he snickered to himself quietly. So naive. It must be nice. Although, It seems I've been noticed.. He stood up, and walked away, only to turn around. As he mingled in the crowds of humans passing by, he circled the group the way a hawk circles his prey before diving in. Licking his lips, he wondered which would be his new host.. |

I slowly extended my middle finger at the Mage while I scanned the crowd trying to find anyone who looked suspicious. I had no idea what this "aura" crap he was going on about was, I guess its something like the myths sixth sense or something so Human like me wouldn't understand that kind of stuff. I did notice a guy that, for some odd reason, reminded me of a snake staring in this direction. His outfit looked like it was straight out of the Thriller... "Thanks for the concern weirdo but I can take care of myself," I said confidently as I conjured a small, azure orb of energy in the palm of my hand reminiscent of a firefly. |

"Now that's rude. Here I am using up oxygen to save your life, or body rather, and you're hurting my feelings." Takasuke responded to the girl, though he still held an apathetic demeanor about him. He then glanced at the small orb in her hand. "Interesting, you can manipulate your energy to an extent. Bravo." He then clapped slightly, though it was still difficult to tell if he were being sarcastic or actually applauding her. He then paused and both he and his cat looking in one direction. "Is that... No, the aura is similar, but still different. This one is calm and collected, that other one bloodthirsty and vicious." He then nodded his head in the same direction to which Kuro hopped off and made his way towards it. Just re-entering the city, Masaru calmly walked around the city once more. Though he seemed slightly annoyed... Well... He always did. Anyway, he simply walked around the city with his arms crossed and his eyes closed. Among the humans he could sense several more powerful. A mage. What seemed like a nymph, an aura he was familiar with however hadn't sensed in a long time. As well as another more... mischievous aura. Along with the obvious auras of Paradox and most likely a servant of some sort. |

Paradox looked away toward the entrance of the city, apparently happy. "Seems like he was succesful. With this, the future may be saved for now. If things go as I plan." He commented as he looked back toward Marina, who was walking aimlessly and not even paying attention to her surroundings. "Isn't it strange?" He questioned, just to receive a glance from her alongside a 'huh'. "An old man walking besides a young, beatiful lady like you." He said as he smiled gently. Marina blushed lightly when he told her that. "Wha-What!?" She said with a low tone of voice. "I'm not a lady, I'm a servant and a body-guard. How can someone like me be called a 'beatiful lady'." She retorted as she huffed and looked foward. "When does anything goes against your plans, Paradox? You can see the future yourself. How can anything go against your plans?" She questioned him in a more self-corrective tone. Paradox looked toward the sky with a smile. "Time, just like the wheather, is always changing. The future in inpredictable. I cannot say what is going to happen in five minutes but I can say what is going to happen in a long-range. For now, the corruption does not exist in the future." He told her as he closed his eyes and breathed deeply. Marina looked downward. She wasn't expecting him to respond her like that. She continued walking whithout paying much attention to anything around her with the exception of Paradox, who she looked at sometimes just to make sure he was there. He was a very mischiveous old man, who kept running away when she looked away from him. That's why she always kept an eye on him. |

Masaru started to walk towards the aura of Paradox. He wanted to see if what he did had any effect, he also wanted to see if he could answer a question of his. It would probably be better to go to the Sage for answers, but currently there were several other auras he didn't want to ask questions nor to get in the way. |

Man this guy is ambiguous. I sure wish his voice had a setting other than 'monotone' cause its kinda hard to get any context from it. "H-hey! Hold up!" I said as I chased after him, though I didn't really know why I did so... its just... he might know about 'her'. He is a mage after all, I assume most mages know each other or at least know seen each other at some point. Searea isn't nearly as big as Alteia, or so I've heard. "Don't just up and walk away from someone your talking too! Or what? Someone more interesting than the beautiful me catch your eye?". |

"Hm? Not exactly, I was going to check that strange aura, though it doesn't seem to be the one I've sensed before." Takasuke told her blankly. "Also, don't be too confident in yourself. Yes you're beautiful though some people tend to turn away from people known to steal their things." He said with a pat on her head as he walked back in the direction he first arrived. "I take it you want something from me?" He questioned her with his hands shoved in his pockets. Of course, he knew the question she wanted to ask but asked her nonetheless. |

It's time for a test, Haku thought to himself. He silently placed his arm by his side, allowing a small green snake to slide out of his sleeves and onto the ground, in the direction of the group. How they would react would determine who he would choose. He grinned to himself, thinking about the chance for a new body... A new form..a fresh start..how glorious. |

(Damn I am not good at tests XD) Etoile was still walking away, but slowly, very slowly. The bloodthirsty aura bothered her, and she wanted to at less witness what will happen next to judge wither she should do something or not. While walking, her eyes and senses happened to notice the unusual snake making it's way stealthily. Is it headed toward her? The objective? Either ways Etoile was sure that the snake was not simply out for a walk... Etoile pulled out a red piece of cloth from her bag and began to rip it apart in very small piece that was so small that all of the ripped pieces of the cloth fitted in one single hand, she tightened her fist and waited for what will happen next. Violence is never Etoile's first choice, but it's also never a absolute taboo. |

"Eh? Uh... um... y-yeah sorta. Um, how do I put this... You don't happen to know a mage about yay tall?" I ask holding my hand up about two inches above my head, "She probably looks maybe mid to late teens? Brown hair. Glasses. Kinda gloomy". I tried describing her as best I could but frankly its been quite a while since I've seen her. Hell, she could have turned into an outgoing, busty blonde since I last saw her. "You have a name for her?" Takasuke questioned as he walked. He noticed the snake and let out a sigh. "One moment." He told her before she could respond and grabbed her arm. He teleported the both of them to the other side of the city. He didn't want to be anywhere near that 'snake', actually, he didn't want to be near the actual snake either. "Alright, now what were you saying?" He inquired nonchalantly. |

Haku watched from afar, and noticed that some of his prey had seemingly disappeared. Teleportation. What a useful skill...Fly away little man..Better to savor the hunt, and the kill.. He licked his lips hungrily, continuing to watch as his snake slithered towards Etoile, gaining ground as it moved closer. It was too weak to harm her, but that wasn't the goal anyways. Haku smiled maliciously and turned away, eyes focusing on the sun. He'd been out for a while, and he'd need to return to the ground to moisten again to avoid. The problem was that his snake form was ridiculously large, and it was hard to perform inconspicuously. He decided to watch Etoile a bit longer, just to make sure everything went the way he wanted... __________________________________________________________________________________ The wind in the city of Alteia began to change, and dark clouds began to form over the city. A large gust of wind blew throughout the city, and Zelphine appeared. His aura was incredible and could be felt throughout the city. He'd arrived after visiting Marusaki the Sage. On his way to find other partners to join his cause, he shifted into human form and rushed through the streets. He cared not who he encountered, as long as they might help him.. |

It happened in an instant. I stumbled to regain my balance and it took me a second to realize what happened but when I did all the strength left my knees and I couldn't stop my body from shaking in terror. I held back the tears trying to force their way out and gave the mage that had flung me across the trucking city a look that showed I wanted to kill him. "G... give me some warning next time..." I told him trying to hid the shaking in my voice. |

"If I did the serpent might have struck. And then your body wouldn't be yours anymore." Takasuke told her somewhat seriously. He looked down at her and sighed, kneeling down to her. "Alright, I apologize. But it was just a minor teleportation spell, nothing that scary. Though I suppose if it was your first time it can affect you like this." He told her. |

I shivered at the way he phrased his words, "Don't call it my first time! That sounds dirty" I said to him as I struggled to my feet. I know a bit about magic, I did study it for while, and Teleportation magic is very dangerous. One wrong rune or a slight slip up in its execution can trap you in a wall or underground or simply teleport only parts of you. I felt sick just thinking about what could have went wrong, it definitely wasn't "Nothing scary". "And what do you mean "Serpent"? I don't think you needed to teleport me just to save me from some tiny snake". |

"Only if you think of it that way... I wasn't aware you were such a pervert." Takasuke teased with an apathetic tone. He then sighed at her question. "There was a person there. I'll spare you the details but I will give you this information. He lives on by taking over and inhabiting bodies. And because of your strange healing ability, you were probably a prime target, as well as I since I am one of the more experienced wizards." |

"Uwaa... he sounds more like a parasite than a snake," I said making a disgusted face. There are countless types of myths and I know its kind of immature but some of them still freak me the hell out. I walked over to the railing in front of me and tried to figure out where he'd taken me. I stared out at the beautiful surreal architecture, which never failed to take my breathe away, and realized he'd brought me to the Noble district. One of the more affluent places in the city where rich and powerful live comfortably, a sort of hated place for the rare few like me who were born without any place to go. I sighed and turned back to the mage, "So whats your name?" I asked bluntly while adjusting my gloves and shoes, which occasionally made these futuristic sound effects, "I'm Sasha, Sasha Reicher. Full time thief and the fastest human alive," I said with a smile full of confidence. |

"That he is. Though he has the appearance of a snake. A long slithery tongue, snake-like eyes, excetera." He told her calmly as he glanced around. "I am known as Takasuke. Don't ask me what my last name is though. It is one of the few things I have absolutely no knowledge about." He told her. "You're somewhat amusing Miss Reicher." |

Walking through the noble district, Paradox and Marina made their way towards the building they were supposed to access. Right now, they were going to talk with one of the most influential humans in Alteia. Of course, influential did not meant powerful but a very important person to the entire city. As Paradox walked towards the entrance of the building, he suddenly stopped and looked towards Marina. "You should wait here. My conversation with this man is very secretive, even for you, Marina." He told her in a serious tone. Marina nodded and turned her back to him. She standed still while awaiting for her master, who had already gone inside the building to talk with whoever this man was. "I sense a lot of auras around here. Alteia sure is more lively now, huh?" She questioned herself with a cheerful smile. She was happy that Alteia was like this now. When she had saw in the future, Alteia was the heart of the corruption, a place full of darkness and death. Only those who served Fergad were able to live at that place. Fergad... She hoped that this man was not here yet. Fergad was the one who initiated the corruption and became it's leader. She was sure he had not appeared yet, since En Corvis was still lively. "I hope we get to fix this place, right, Paradox?" She questioned to him even though she knew she wouldn't get an answer. |
