| Hmmm, that's actually a good question. Maybe it's a why parents don't show up in anime sort of thing. He wouldn't be able to do other stupid things that he usually does without us having to see Iruka yell at him as he runs through the door everyday. That would have gotten annoying. I like how Iruka isn't shown a whole bunch, just when he needs to. |

| I imagine that Naruto wants to remain independent as a way of constantly trying to prove himself to the world. When you feel like the world has never given you anything, it kinda makes sense to value being self sufficient. I think Iruka knows that about Naruto, which is why he watches proudly from afar. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it. |
