Wow, that was way too short.

However, amazing as always. I think the soundtracks are getting better with every movie as well. The BGM was great and I really gotta get my hands on the ED Theme.

So yeah, very nice episode. Judging from the preview of the previous movie, I thought this one could be my first 10 for a Rakkyo movie but it was just too short. Still, gets a very, very good 9/10 from me. I really want to see the next episode now.

Perfect.
Araya appearing after the ending theme nearly gave me a heartattack of excitement. Fuck yeah, George.

I don't know what else to say, so I'll just go with that I loved it as much as the other movies.

The insertion of the original scene of Shiki blighting the flowers was a nice decision. I expected longer descriptions of 「」, but maybe it's a proper length not to make it too wordy or boring.

Shiki's mom! wow she is so beautiful...
Honda-san's voice acting of switching Touko's personalities was awesome.
Mikiya's "Singing in the rain" was... um... a unique direction.

Nasu said an intriguing thing in the interview. The bizzare case in which Azaka got to know with Touko will be novelized or something. I CAN'T WAIT!

Another superb part in this series. Very emotional one, at that. Lack of action was a little disappointing but made up for with lots of development, and a great fight at the end.

Another great movie. It remained good after the excellent 3rd one.

It's good to see how things went 2 years after the 2nd movie. The last scene with the two finally meeting again was great. Art was especially good in this one. Next one is looking really awesome.

9/10 from me.

I agree on the music being great, but I think they are often using the same BGM over and over again. We already had most of the catchy pieces in previous movies. Not that it really matters, because they are really great, but I hope we will hear some new tracks, too, in future movies. The ED, though, is the best one right after the first.

Awesome, things feels like they are just about to begin. Loved Shiki in this, also the bgm and animation were great, always love that blue tint. Next movie looks intense, except for the when you kill people they die - look alike dude.

This part was not the best (the third one is, and I also prefer the second over this one) but it was still a very intense and fantastically well directed movie as always. The background art was especially perfect I think, as was the music. Nothing more though, it's by no mean the most impressive chapter of the novel and so the movie is following on its tracks: a slow but efficient flashback with nice character development.

Can't wait for Mujun Rasen now, which might be the best of the series (if it is on par with the novel of course). By the way, if everything goes well, the DVD should be released in approximately 3 months from now, and this fifth movie will be the first 2 hours footage of Kara no Kyoukai :)

Like everybody else said, the only complaint I have with this movie was that it was too short. :3 The BGM and art were, as usual, top notch.

And the next movie looks... just absolutely freaking awesome. Good thing that we only have to wait about a month or so.

And oh yes, people like this: http://myanimelist.net/profile/bendela piss me off. The last time they were on was October? And apparently they watched, dropped, and gave KnK 4 a score of 1 two months before it was ever released. And they haven't watched the first 3 movies. :| Yeah...

Saw the movie, I loved it. It was slower than most but it was understandable given the plot. Long haired Shiki was so moe, she should have kept it for longer.

Where in the plot does the next film take place? Fujino looks like she stil has her stomach pains, but I thought she was cure in film 3?

i can only say one thing... SHIKI IS <3!!!

and ya, i think weve developed a general concusses that 5 will be unbelievable! but ya, this one explained a few things for me that i wouldnt have known since i havnt gotten far into the novel yet... such as why her EoDP are work the way they do differently then Tohnos.

but as its been said, the animation has NOT lost its appeal, the feeling during each and every scene was phenomenal, the soundtrack was superb, and Shiki as always was <3

from what iv heard the plot really shows up in the next ep... i think.

I guess I'll be the one to break this chain D: and say that I was not that impressed with this part. I found the story of Shiki during her coma to be quite underwhelming, although I will say that her transition from emo to badass was enjoyable. That made the battle scene at the end fun to watch. Animation and sound are on par, so no need to really go in depth with that over and over. Anyways, it gets a 7 from me.

It's a good movie overall. Great art, animation, and sound. But my major issues here are the length and the story. It's definitely too short, and I really didn't like the story as much as the first 3. I can't wait for the next one since it looks to be awesome in the preview.

And IIRC, this movie takes place between the 2nd and the 3rd.

I'm more and more impressed with this entire series. Having not read any of the novels, the order of the movies threw me off at first, however as each one adds a piece to the puzzle, I'm glad they did it this way. Spectacular animation, voice acting and music as well. Can't wait for #5.

I dislike being the combo breaker, but MAN, this series is getting annoying.
The animation quality, BGM, VA... well, let's say the whole execution is top notch, but the story has (or seems to have) NOTHING.
Just add together a bunch of random actions and lines, and bam!, There you have Kara no Kyoukai.
Maybe I'd actually GET the movies if I read the novels?

6/10, if not worse.

In addition, it had an excellent animation, superb music, great BGM, and great voice acting as both animation and music are still top notch. However, I'm unsatisfied with the length. I'm rather dissapointed by this part. IMO the weakest one if we talk about enjoinment. Apart from animation, music, awesome 'Death Perception' effect and excellent Touko apperance (finally we know something more about her) narration was slow and boring and I couldn't feel the atmpsphere of previous movies. Maybe it's fault of the lenght or maybe i had too high expectations about Garan no Dou. Anyway 7/10 - major dissapointment

I thought this part was a little too slow and boring. The animation and the music were fantastic but that "plot" was simply not entertaining. I guess it was necessary to show this but they probably could have made this into a 20-30 minute part of another movie and then continued with Touko teaching her about her new eyes etc.

On the other hand, KnK is probably meant to be similar to the LOTR, one very long story, so having a short part about Shiki's "supernatural birth" is perfectly fine.

In any case, I'm looking forward to the fifth one, from the preview it looks like it's going to be great.

Great fourth episode for sure! But here's my question, if any of you noticed...around 44:40 to 44:45 that guy from the second episode appeared! Drenched in blood. I totally figured that he must make an appearance again after what he told Shiki in the second movie. With the whole thing "I know your impatient, but don't you think four people is too much?" Does anyone know whether he will be playing a major part in the next movie? I squeeled like mad when I noticed he was the guy from before. LOL.

Once again a very good adaption of the novel, the direction and animation were a bit better than in movie 3 (although this movie was much calmer and mostly located in an hospital), and some great key animation is spread out through the movie, so it's again an awesome visualization of the novel. The visual presentation is also well supported by Kajiura's great music, especially during the silent night scenes in hospital.
The story is closely adapted from the novel and therefore quite sophisticated in comparison to other recent anime movies. This movie was short, but nevertheless it was pretty intense, the next one will be much longer so I hope they keep up the high animation standard, story-wise it will be great anyway (because of the excellent source material).
