| Mahrina Rae lugged her suitcases into her room one by one. "Took forever to get all those in here." She murmured to herself, pulling them in from sitting in the hall. Most of them were clothes but four of them were instrument cases. An alto saxophone, a tenor saxophone, a baritone saxophone and her treasured acoustic guitar. She set her instrument cases on her bed and drug her last suitcase in and placed them on her bed too. "I'll unpack later." She said, wiping her brow. She walked over towards the bed and sat on the edge. She leaned over and grabbed her alto sax and put in together, then she began playing an original piece she composed herself to pass some time. She then exited the room to explore. |

| Mahrina lead Kazu into her dorm room and set her case down, "It's a bit of a mess, I haven't had time to unpack yet." She said, looking at the things on her bed. |

| He Entered the room awkwardly "Its fine really" he started to look around |
| "Most of the pieces I know are original compositions, but I can play by ear fairly well," She said, grabbing a chair for him, "If you'd like to sit," She gestured towards it and pulled out her alto case setting it on her bed. |
|
| "Thanks" he replied sitting down on the chair and opening out his Violin case |
| "Do you have a favorite piece?" She asked, assembling her sax and putting the case aside to sit on the edge of her bed, "I'll follow along with whatever." |
|
| "hmm there is one i know i think its in my case" he looks into his case and pulls out a set piece of paper with the words "Ave Maria". "its a beautiful piece, its usually played on a harp but i like it with the violin" |
| "That name sounds pretty," She said, "Go ahead and start it off, I'll listen a few bars and join in when I've got it." |

| "Okay, ill sing along too" he begins to play and closes his eyes as he plays singing the words "Ave Maria, gratia plena. Maria, gratia plena Maria, gratia plena" |
| Mahrina listens, swaying to the rhythm and then places the mouth piece to her mouth. She waits a few seconds and starts playing, swaying to the music. |

| Kazu continues to play while keeping his eyes closed and singing the next verse "Ave, ave dominus, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, Et benedictus Et benedictus fructus ventris, Ave Maria" as he sings he starts to drop a few tears |
| Mahrina glances over, not breaking pace, still following the rhythm and enjoying the music, I'll ask him when we're done, she thought, and continued on. |

| He continues onto the third verse "Ave Maria, Mater Dei, Ora pro nobis peccatoribus, Ora, ora pro nobis; Ora, ora pro nobis peccatoribus" |
| What a beautiful song, she thought she swayed more but kept her eyes focused on Kazu, It must be emotional for him. |

| as he goes into the final verse tears continue to fall at a quicker pace "Nunc et in hora mortis, In hora mortis nostrae. In hora, hora mortis nostrae, In hora mortis nostrae. Ave Maria" he finishes playing the violin but continues to finish the song "Ave Maria" |
| Mahrina stops playing with him, but just watches him a moment, finally she reaches over and brushes away the tears, "Are you okay?" She asked, quietly. |

| "Hmm? oh yeah im fine.." he rushes to wipe the tears out of his eyes with his shirt"its just a strong song you know? im always like this when i sing" |
| "I understand, I get like that when I play sometimes." She said, looking down at her saxophone, "A lot of people don't believe it, but music, without lyrics, can tell stories as well. Which is why I compose my own music so much, it's a way of writing down your lives story, but letting everyone else put their own twist into it as well, when they listen to it, and let their imaginations follow the music." |

| He looks at her with admiration " im the very same, i play music to show people what i really am, not an "evil vampire" im just a person with a sound to be heard" |
| Mahrina smiled and laughed a bit, "I feel you and I could be one in the same." She said, placing her saxophone back in its case. "My music is one of the only things I remember from being human, every piece of music I've composed is stored in my brain." |

| "im like that but i use my drawings to express that side of me, you should see them sometime you might like them just don't read into their history, theres alot of strong emotions in those pages" he smiles |
| "With hands like these you learn to handle strong emotions," She said, sadly, "I like it though, it gets a little cluttered in my head, but I like learning people's histories, sharing the things they've gone through, getting new experiences. It's the best thing I can imagine." |

| "yeah i bet it does get a little cluttered in your head sometimes" |
| "Do you have any of your drawings with you? I'd love to see them," She said, putting her case away and pushing her bags to the edge of her bed, making room for both of them, and motioning him over. |
|
| "well this is kind of a personal one but yeah i do one sec" he takes his cane and slides out a piece of paper from the top of the cane when he removed a hidden slot" its a picture i drew to keep me happy when i needed it" he hands her a picture of his family he drew with all but one person rubbed out |
| Mahrina took it and gently held it, looking over the details and admiring the artwork, "Why are people erased?" She asked, gently touching the smudged part. |

| He looks down at his feet"my father... the one of the family which turned everyone but my sister against me, the one who called me a monster and threw me out of my home when i was 10 years old" |
| "I'm... I'm sorry." She said, handing the paper back to him, "It must have been awful, but at least your sister still loved you.." |
|
| takes back the paper and slots it back into the cane"yeah shes the only thing that stopped me falling into darkness back then.." |
| "The past is the past.." She said, looking down, "the people who tear you down will later become the people who made you stronger, and those who helped you move on, with forever be the most important people in your heart." |

| "Maybe" he starts to twiddle his fingers |
| Mahrina instantly jumps up and stretches out, her shirt lifting up a little before she settles back down, "It's getting too deep in here for my taste, let's lighten up a little. What would you like to do now? I've got tea if you'd like, or soda." |
|
| He notices her shirt lift a little "Uh...Tea would be great thanks" |
| "Alright, I'll go boil some water," She walked over to the kitchen and put a kettle on, then returned, "It's been a good day," She murmured, laying back on her bed. |

| Looking back at her "you think? yeah it kinda has been" he also lies back |
| "I think I'm gonna unpack a little," She said, grabbing one of her bags and opening it up, "There's no better time than the present." She took piles of unfolded clothes and shoved them into drawers, "So, what do you want to talk about?" She asked, as she continued doing this. |

| "Hmmm" Kazu begins to think "I Don't Know...." |
| Mahrina gets to the bottom of her bag and blushes a bit, "Hey, why don't you close your eyes for a second..." She said, looking at what was left in the suitcase. |
|
| "Close my Eyes? Okay....Sure..." he closes his eyes |
| Mahrina quickly gathers her underwear and bras, not just her normal ones, but her lacey ones for special occasions, and packs them into the drawer. "Okay, you can open your eyes," She said, laughing timidly. |
|
| Opens his eyes "Did i miss something?"he asks inquisitively as she laughs |
| She arches an eyebrow and gets very close to his face, "Well, if you'd really like to know," She said, being very careful not to touch his skin. |
|
| "Oh A Challenge is it? i can match you in that!" gets a little closer |
| "Are you sure about that?" She asked, moving to where they're only centimeters apart, licking her lips seductively. "I'm pretty good at challenges." |
|
| "Oh Yeah?..." gets a little closer barely "you cant beat me at this Miss Rae!" |
| She grins and opens her mouth, "Are you sure?" She carefully uses her teeth to grab his bottom lip, making absolutely sure not to let her skin touch his, she pulls back, nibbling softly. Just then though, the tea kettle whistles, and she lets go, pulling back, "Sounds like the tea is done," she says, winking and walking towards the kitchen. |

| Kazu lies back after his little gambit"Im always sure in what i do" |
| Mahrina laughs at the comment, pouring the water into two cups and then setting a tea bag in each. She walked back out and handed him a cup, "Oh, but yea, I was putting away my sexy underwear, for when I go out at night and work the corner as a hooker." She said, laughing as she sat back down, "Okay, the hooker part is a lie, but I've got some pretty sexy underwear." |

| Immediately bursts out laughing "Are you sure your okay letting a guy know what kind of underwear you have? that would be pretty risky for some girls but then again you arent like most girls are you?" |
