personaly I think Sakura started the rivalry between them. what do you guys think?

I don't really get what you mean but if I understood right the I think Sakura Sid cause ion ( when they were younger) always helped her out and made her become more confidant until that day she said :
Sakura: ion, I heard that you also loved sasuke ..!
Ino: ...
Sakura : that means that from now on we are rivals .
Sakura can be a really big idiot but she can also be nice, I men, they are best friends after all ... ;-)
