It's attack of the rock fiend.

HNGGGG that kawaii face:

Lmao @ the memories of the mother's youth. Ya, one minute:
>I love you!

Next mintue:

BOOM.

Well, I'm still enjoying the series somewhat. That new girl named Jou seemed strange enough. Dat pigtails. What a strange girl and I'm damn curious on what sort of role she'll play later on in the series.

This episode felt a little rushed, but I still was able to enjoy it. Young Sasami looked so moe and it's nice that she finally patched things up with her mother. I was laughing at Sasami's mother being embarrassed from confessing to her crush while Sasami and Tsurugi were having the time of their lives laughing at that moment.

Interesting new girl. Wonder what devious things she'll come up with in the next episode.

Despite the inconsistent time traveling to convince tsurugi to take back her role as 'God', the silly experiences of Sasami's mother in the past was the highlight of the ep for me.

I'm so lost about the plot or where the anime is trying to work towards >.<

Besides that it was a nice episode but did Sasami lose the power for real this time? And just what is her brother/father? I really hope they'll explain things in the last few episodes because I'm dying to finally get some answers

NEW CHARACTERS,
didn't expect that.

I really like Sasami's mother now, she's somewhat more hopeless than Sasami.

Time for me to say it again, seriously underrated show that everyone dropped too soon.

aww i loved how she was hiding her happiness and taping back together the drawing her daughter made her.
but it was still mean how she tore it in front of her. SHe could of folded it and put it away...idk.

So i'm wondering, in the end, they did change the past?? Since her mother came out of her in the present. So she must be there, alive.
Jou didn't feel any god power from sasami, and Sasami did say that her mother should hold on to the power until she is ready.
So sasami's mother is there alive, with the god's power.

Cool ep.
And the new character is interesting. And her familiar or whatever was the spirit that tried to change the past in the first place.

I know, even I almost dropped it because it was too damn random and weird and the brother is just ugh. Anyways I am glad I didn't. And I would like for all those that dropped it at ep 1 to check out 2 and 3, give it a second chance.

And yes, the mother is actually very cute.

isn't it the guy who was "tied up" and the one whom sasami's mother confessed to. Also her brother. :/ igh.

In one of the earlier episodes, when they went to destroy the shrine, she said "papa" to that guy, so I guess that's him? lol.

Current information suggests that Sasami's father is Tuskiyomi Ruza, who was introduced in episode 4 trying to recapture Sasami. Although with the confusing family tree of the Tsukiyomi shrine, take that with a grain of salt.

Also correct me if I'm wrong, but reading the credits, Tamamo-no-Mae is voiced by Hidaka Rina and Edogawa Jou is voiced by Numakura Manami.

It appears to me that people don't understand the mythology, and as such, find it confusing and rate it low, which is a real shame.

The mythology just pays to see the metaphores (are there really any? I hope it's not the same as 'christianity metaphores' like in NGE which Hideaki commented that have no real meaning). Gotta admit that EP9 was pretty symbolic. Also, those EDs - how to make something terrible on purpose, I love it. How come it's so underrated? Still cannot understand.

So Sasami and her mother made up and her mother will control the godly power for the time being till Sasami can handle it.
Meanwhile the leader of the group that attacked Sasami shows up and tells something about her plot to take over Sasami's power.
Should be nice.

Can't get enough of this show. Really liked the depth this episode gave Sasami's mother, Sasami herself, and also Tsurugi.

Evil Student Council President and nine-tailed fox girl look like trouble... Final stretch of the show and I'm bummed. Would have loved this to be 26 eps.

I'll keep saying this - this is currently the most underrated show I know on MAL by far (#2 is Gunslinger Girl, but even that is scored quite higher than this). It kinda makes me question MAL scores in general. What other shows out there rated 6.80 are actually phenomenal but get low ratings for whatever reason?

MAL fags like fast, plot-holed stuff - look at SAO. Abstractions and ideas are often too hard to digest, still it interests me how kinda hard Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu gets 9 average - maybe them biased fags didn't give score?

I gotta say that ever since Sasami's mom appeared the show got kinda dull and I don't really care about as much anymore.

I'd be pointless to drop it now though, I'm still curious to see what the conclusion would bring us.

I find the author is pretty smart - here it does not just solve the cause of Sasami getting obese and the switch of body in an alternative past of Sasami, but also develops further the theme of the mother-daughter relationship between Sasami and her mother and the theme of "regret" about the past. And yet it still has not lost sight of the "Ganbaranai" (not working hard enough) theme, first for Sasami, and then for Tsurugi, and on a meta-level, it hints at the contemporary youngsters who have locked themselves in and not bothering to see the world versus the older generation who believes in working themselves to death and put on the same expectation on the younger generation.

Also it is good to see Sasami's mother came back from the netherworld to get things back together with Sasami and the Yagami sister.
symbvMar 11, 2013 7:30 AM
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

This episode was epic, the was everything unraveled was really clever. Definitely good writing right here.
Jou doesn't seem too bad, I guess she's just so bored that she decided to troll around by taking over the world. x)

Surprisingly the story keeps being interesting. Start with some weird shit and then throw out the good stuff- Shaft, you little rascals.

I'm interested in Sasami's brother again. First he seemed to be nothing but her guardian/servant but that last scene made him suddenly seem intriguing. I want to know more about Kamiomi.

After these two episodes my opinion on Juju has changed completely. She's actually really nice and cute haha. And she's back now right? With her coming outta Sasami's body and Sasami supposedly losing her power (which she wanted her mom to hold on for a while longer).

Loved how beautiful Tsurugi looked when she was in her divine form.

Didn't Sasami's dad (or Ruza) called her mom "nee-san" during the flash back/traveling back in time part? Does that mean Sasami is going to end up with her brother too..?

It was a nice episode for me, but I think that in this anime genres there should be "dementia" or some other mind blowing terms. And where is romance here??? Sasami and her brother relations - is this romance? o_0
