| This chapter kinda addresses a big issue. I know ace (asexual or aromantic) people who go through people trying to push relationships onto them and who try to convince them they're just going through a phase or whatever (phases are not bad things, in any case). Also, the whole "that's just how girls are" thing is just as destructive as "boys will be boys". We need to stop pushing that idea on everything and actually question why people are that way (jealousy, envy, hurt, etc.) so that we can work through things. Girls should have as safe an environment as possible to find out who they are. Sexuality, gender, etc. |
