| i felt bad for souma but i don't want him butting in kujou and yanagi. yanagi's been waiting for 10 years and if kujou chooses souma over yanagi who's been waiting for kujou for a really really long time. it'll be a turn off for me for this series. |

| Though this, I suppose, can be considered the best of the Souma chapters, it still didn‘t come close to consistently reaching the really high quality of the chapters that are largely absent of the woefully dull Souma, as the first half of this chapter was great, but the second half was thoroughly mediocre, since it simply provided a heightened focus on Souma’s unrequited feelings for Kujou, which has infused the story with a surprisingly tiresome monotony throughout several of the last five chapters, save for the twelfth. If Souma’s past was legitimately tragic, then I might have felt that yet another chapter partially wasted on establishing his pain as the third wheel was worth it, but, somewhat due to my immense dislike of him as a character, I’m not sympathetic for him at all, considering all the pain he’s enduring is simply some glorious karma. After all, Yanagi has suffered through considerably more, so it just felt like a weak attempt to manufacture a sympathetic perception of him. Essentially, the second half of this chapter consisted of, for the most part, pointless filler, needlessly forcing Yanagi, once again, into the periphery, which has been occurring far too often lately. Of course, the last page was excellent for several reasons, primarily due to the noticeable foreshadowing that Souma might actually move on and exit the main portion of the story, or, at least, I hope that’s what it infers, so it certainly concluded in a satisfying manner. This isn’t some compelling, uncertain triangle, so I’m hoping that this inevitable element within the story, which seemingly has to exist in every single shoujo, will be excised from the narrative as soon as possible, so that every small development between Yanagi and Kujou isn’t then followed by a chapter that partially focuses on a repetitious “insight” into Souma’s emotions, both of which I couldn’t care less about. As such, Souma’s contrived and unnecessary prevalence needs to be severely diminished following this chapter. He is, after all, a singularly secondary and rather unlikable character, as his appearances are becoming increasingly intrusive. He provides absolutely nothing of worth to the story, aside from the ability to illuminate the vast differences in likeability and overall characterization between him and Yanagi. As for Yanagi and Kujou, I loved their very methodical development in this chapter, as their wonderfully simplistic relationship has only gotten better as the story progresses. Of course, their subtly romantic and often amusing interactions were fantastic once again, so I’m really looking forward to the next chapter, as I expect it to be a complete return to a YanagixKujou focus. |

| I actually really like Hotaru Souma! He reminds me a little of Kyo from Fruits Basket, only in that he is a bit rebellious and he constantly feels rejection. I hope he finds someone in the end. Side Note: Yanagi's little burp at the end was so adorable. xD |
| A third wheel character nobody likes? I like him for that alone! Seriously though, as much as Kujou+Yanagi all the way, I wish Souma all the best. Especially after that baseball story. Small things can be really big if they seem that way to you. |

| I still prefer Yanagi, he really loves Kujou and has for a long time and has tried very hard to win her but has had to do it in a round about way because she doesn't understand relationships. I feel bad for Souma but ultimately I don't want him to mess up things with Yanagi and her and I want the original pair to finally get together. |

| Yeah ... Why root for Souma? I mean, poor Yanagi has been chasing her for 10 years, at that point if he didn't get the girl he would have every right to become that stereotypical male lead in smut manga ... or Barney Stinson XD. |

| Its hard to like this series as much as I used to as long as Souma is still there. I just hope he doesn't stick around till the end constantly causing trouble for the real couple while ripping his own heart and theirs to shreds. It'd make this series seriously depressing in a not worth reading kind of way. |

| So much lol I do feel bad for Souma. Hope he finds himself a nice girlfriend. I want him to be friends with Yanagi and Mikoto but really hope he doesn't affect the romance much. |
