| The Formians split up and begin to sweep the mountains looking for carrion or any edible plants. They find a dead mountain goat being eaten by a vulture and try to catch the bird, but are unsuccessful. The half eaten goat carcass is dragged back home. One the other side of the mountain some of the Formians find some mushrooms growing in a crevice. | The first attempts at farming the mushrooms fail horribly and all of the remaining mushrooms in the cave are wasted in the process. Your tribe can't help but be disappointed, as they were definitely getting the hang of it and probably would have succeeded if they had more mushrooms to work with. One tribe member discovered a much larger cave, the sides are lined with moss and fungus and water trickles down the back wall creating a luminous, slimy substance that gives off a faint green light. In the middle of the room in a crude Formian nest is a large black egg. The nest looks abandoned. | The Formian is entranced by the phosphorescent green substance and immediately tries to ingest it. After a few small mouthfuls he begins to glow green like the wall and curls into a ball, apparently no longer concious. The rest of the tribe decide to work on their communication skills after failing to farm successfully. They manage to work out a limited vocabulary of simple words consisting of hissing and clicking sounds. They are worried about the fact that one of the tribe has not returned after looking for larger caves. Though they are beginning to run low on food again. Should they search for him? | The tribe decides to put their new found communication to use as they spread out to search for the missing member. After a short search there is a call and the tribe gathers around the large cave. Having run out of food one of the hungry members goes straight to the fungi on the walls and eats it. There appear to be no side effects, but it is not very filling. The Formian continues to eat it anyway because he is hungry. The rest of the tribe searches the cave, finding the egg and the missing Formian curled up in a ball with two strange growths on his back. Should the tribe attempt to help the Formian or leave him be? Small pockets of mushrooms are found near the back wall and the Tribe takes the chance to perfect their farming skills, this time succeeding and creating a small mushroom farm. Though it will take time for the mushrooms to grow enough for the whole tribe. What should the tribe do today? | The tribe leaves the Formian, not wanting to accidentally hurt him. Though they are unsure what is wrong with him. The Formian that ate the wall-fungi has not stopped eating and is refusing to do anything else. They don't find anything to bring back to base, but some find some edible grass to sate their hunger. One female formian hears strange sounds further down the mountain. | The tribe decides to force the formian to stop. He reacts violently at first, injuring another male but soon calms down after being restrained from eating. The fungi appears to be highly addictive but requiring a continuous influx to keep working. The female formian ventures down the mountain and finds a group of small green creatures hooting loudly, fighting and breeding. None of them seem to notice her. What should she do? 1) Attempt to communicate with the creatures 2) Investigate further 3) Return to tell the tribe 4) Other (specify) The Formian who ate the goo awakens, now with two fragile growths on his back that appear thin and translucent. He appears confused and spends a long time sitting in the spot while the growths on his back twitch. Eventually he learns some control over them and ends up hovering a foot off the cave floor. The rest of the tribe are in awe. What is this winged Formians name? The mushroom farm is now large enough to sustain most of the food needs of the tribe, though they still wish for alternatives to just mushrooms. The tribe continues to improve their communication skills, now able to use body language and low-frequency sounds in-audible to most other creatures as effective communication methods. Arriving after Gilgamesh has been crowned god-king. She tells the tribe that she does not believe the creatures to be very intelligent or threatening. | Gilgamesh beings to research the green-glowing-goo by getting other Formians to eat it. One of the Formians grows two growths on his back that end up being short and powerful extra limbs with heavy claws. Another's carapace hardens and turns black, sharp sturdy ridges forming on it's limbs. One reacts violently as soon as it tastes the goo and explodes shortly afterwards. None appear with wings like Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh believes that he has figured out how the goo works and thinks that by force feeding certain amounts of it to the others he can control what happens to them. He wants to feed the entire tribe the goo. Should the tribe let Gilgamesh force feed them? 1) Yes, all of them 2) No, only the males 3) No, only the females 4) No, refuse all together 5) Other (specify) The formian hunting party successfully herds some of the goats back to the cave, losing one goat and one male formian in the process. | The entire tribe is eager to eat the goo an evolve, or mutate... hopefully not explode... Gilgamesh wants to try and mutate how many of them into what? There are 9 Formians, 4 male, 5 female. Allocate the wished numbers of each type of mutation, for all 9. 1) Winged 2) Clawed 3) Armoured 4) Other (random) The tribe soon realises that keeping the goats in a cave is a bad idea. However, due to diligent efforts and attempts to understand the creatures only one goat dies before the farm is re-located to a suitable place. The goat now living in a crevice filled with grass and sunlight. They appear to be much happier. After a short time training the entire tribe can now hear the voices of everyone else in their head and they begin to use it as their primary method of communication. Their more primitive methods are absorbed into the language, but can no longer function properly on their own. The Formian is allowed to go back to eating the fungus. He spends all of his time on the walls, eating, until one day he simply falls of the wall and lays on his back, twitching but not yet dead. He wants to create a strong fighting force and turn the majority of them into the heavily armoured, bladed formian with the black carapace. His first attempts go well and result in 3 males and 3 females turning out this way. One of the females explodes and the final male appears to be un-affected by it. What should the tribe do about the un-affected formian? 1) Study him 2) Feed him more goo 3) Kill and eat him to assimilate his body 4) Other The tribe decide to force feed the unconscious Formian the goo. | The un-affected Formian is fed more goo. Nothing appears to happen at first, but gradually the tribe notice that he is getting bigger and bigger. His growth explodes, taking him far past the average size for a formian and stopping when he is the size of a small Minotaur, albeit of four legs. The rest of the tribe is fearful of him. What should the giant formian be called? The tribe leave the un-exploded Formian alone, expecting him to die. They are surprised when he suddenly wakes up and begins vomiting tgreen goo back up. They are even more surprised when the green gooey vomit burns a large hole in the floor. The formian also no longer shows signs of wanting to eat the fungus. What should the vomiting formian be called? Gilgamesh decides that after the mutations his tribe should learn how to fight properly. He has the 6 armoured fomian practice fighting against each other while he himself works on his Ariel combat. The other tribe members do not participate for fear of being hurt. The black carapace proves to be exceptionally strong with the formians being unable to damage each other even with their ridged blades. The only weak spot appears to be a small spot underneath their mouth and around their chest. At the end of training the 6 armoured formian are relatively experienced with fighting each other, though they have never fought anything else, they are confident that other creatures would be much easier anyway. Gilgamesh himself is now able to perform relatively high speed combat manoeuvres while in the air, dive bombing and even hovering to attack. He is very proud of himself and makes the tribe watch him fly around, which makes them very proud as well. The lone female and clawed male are sad about being unable to fight and spend their time alone. The clawed formian exploring the cave and the female sitting next to the egg, investigating it. What should the tribe do? | The giant formian does not grow any bigger. He is named "Gigantor" by the tribe, for obvious reasons. Gigantor is now putting a strain on both living space and food supply, eating whole goats and taking up much of the space in the main cavern simple by existing. What should Gigantor do? The vomiting formian is wonderfully name "Vomitron" by the extremely creative tribe. He seems to have a bad habit of spitting up goo at random times and the cave floor is soon filled with small burnt out areas. What should Vomitron do? The clawed formian exploring the cave finds numerous new chambers, enough room for many more formians than are currently in the tribe. Even with Gigantor in the largest cave they are able to find more than enough space for the tribe to live comfortably. The clawed formian begins to use his powerful extra arms to clear the way for cave exploration and realises that he can easily dig through solid rock with them. Name the digging formian The egg shows signs of life. What should the tribe do?
