Kana Hanazawa, Yumi Uchiyama, Keita Tsuwabuki cast in comedy from "Gintama" folks If you miss the Gintama anime, this summer's Binbō-gami ga! anime looks like a promising replacement irreverent comedy. The folks at Sunrise, Gintama director Yoichi Fujita, and Bleach writer Kento Shimoyama are adapting Yoshiaki Sukeno's light novels about a Binbo-gami's (God of Poverty) attempt to take out a lucky girl who is effectively a happiness vampire. Naruto Shippuuden the Movie: Bonds' Kenji Tanabe steps up to provide character design and animation direction. The opening theme will be "Make My Day!" by Piko, while Happy Birthday's "Koi Boudou" will be the ending. | Glad its getting an anime, just hope they stick with whats cool about the manga. And does anyone else not like the main character? She just comes off as a total bitch in the manga, yeah she had some events in her past that apparently "scarred" her, but as far as we know her parents arn't dead just never around...Im sorry she's loney and afraid to let anyone get close but we all got problems, life ain't easy for anyone. BUT then we find out that her happiness energy has pretty much let her live a perfect life, sorry but I can't root for a character like that, especially since her refusal to let Momiji take her energy stealing abilities away leads to others getting bad luck and in 3 cases ALMOST DYING. My favorite character is Momiji, not only because of her personality and totally justified "mission", she often helps Sakura with not only aiding in the saving of her friends but also does subtle never seen things that shows she really cares for Sakura and is trying to ease her into becoming a better person. Not to mention when she gets cleaned and becomes good for a few chapters...she becomes so cute to the point her beauty rises higher than that of the busty main character, and she's 100% flat-chested lol. |
