The kids are not judging good at shinsengumi. Okita is fearing the kids because they said bad things about Kondo. He's jealous of Hijikata running with Chizuru dressing up. Saitou in this ep., like the anime series, being the one helping the group mates... I hope he gets many action in his arc. (The preview looks good that I really cannot wait for it!!) ED is touching, too, as expected by Kurosaki-san. So according to the comments on streaming site, the ep. is according to the game (so it's also based on this manga). |

| I really liked the first OVA :) It's been a while since I've seen all the characters and it's really cool to have them back for the OVAs. Okita was my favorite and it's great to see him as his same old self again. So next OVA will be... Saitou? Not sure but I will watch the OVAs. |

| Not a bad OVA. Although I wasn't only 70 to 80 percent sure what was going on, and the writing quality and story quality weren't nearly as good as the series. It was still nice to see the characters again. I'll be watching the next one. I don't like these new theme songs as much as the other ones. |
| - ED is pretty. Maybe too pretty, lol. Well, this OVA is cute, with Souji as the center character. That's really all that I can say. I thought the animation would be a little different. |

| It's painful. Everything about Hakuouki is painful. But yet I love it; this bittersweetness, seeing Shinsengumi being all happy and banding together, yet knowing its inevitable fate. But yet, Souji's last line before the ED made me sad :( The "I can still fight" line :'( |

| I'm glad I decided to re-watch some of the first season to build up to this OVA. The transition into this side story felt nice and I actually quite like the slower pace as it's giving the characters some more breathing room (which is an ironic term to use for Okita, unfortunately). |
