| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- lol @ everyone's comment about Chihaya. Then they realized the opponent's scary aura. Even though Queen got one more card, she is still not so sad about it. In the end, Chihaya lost, at least she got 3 more cards afterwards. But the enemy doesn't feel that she won (she was mad for at least getting one card from her). lol~ Chihaya praising her shirt, which her face became blushing. Daichi was more sadder than Chihaya for her game. Then he saw Chihaya feeling she needs to improve while crying. Queen vs. that guy only, and she won. So both the new members lost at 3rd round, and their turn to watch Taichi, who went to final. He's organizing his mind because he got the wrong card. He still has a hard time getting the cards. Interesting how the members except Meat bum for holding each other's hands. Taichi lost. lol @ Taichi's expression when he saw everyone's disappointment and crying. Then he's crying, too. When leaving, Chihaya bowed the place, followed by everyone else including the old lady teacher. Next day, everyone in the Karuta club are running to get their power. lol @ Meat bum. Chihaya was dreaming of Queen when she fell asleep for10 mins. No Arata in the dream, though. Showing Arata, who went to his Karuta teacher to practice again. The queen is practicing alone. Everyone to the next level. |

| I'm a bit lost on why Shinobu held such a grudge against Chihaya for taking five cards when she didn't seem bothered by her competition in the finals. Anyway, I laughed whenever someone looked scared at Shinobu's aura, and Taichi's look at the disappointed team when he lost was great too. |

| Defeat episodes in sports anime really are the best. It was obviously less impressive than Oofuri's second to last episode of season two (hands down the best episode of 2010) but still great. |

| Okay, Chihaya lost, but that isn't unexpected. So cute how they all were crying for Taichi. So they finally realised they lack condition, huh. Ah well. Loved how Shinobu's face changed after the match when Chihaya came close. |

| I feel bad for Taichi...but I think he needed it so he could figure out what he wanted.... But hopefully he aims to become a class A player....then he can go up against Arata XD I find the queen...kind of scary lol I don't know I wasn't expecting Chihaya to win...but to lose by 20 cards?? | I'm kinda glad Chihaya lost against Shinobu because I felt she kept winning everytime. But now she can face her again once she's improved. Taichi is growing on me a lot more now and I actually felt like I was gonna cry because of his determination to surpass Arata, when he lost I was just like noooo! And I am so glad Arata is into karuta again :D |

| I'm so glad that Chihaya ended up losing. If they had her win it'd just be way too unrealistic. Shinobu really seems evil, but I have a feeling that she's the type of antagonist that turns good (kinda like Vegeta, but that's an extreme example!) I think I fall in love with Taichi more and more every single episode.... :') LOL at Porky's Naruto shirt. Lastly... I want more Arata with Chihaya and Taichi!!!! Gah. |
| The episode was fine I guess; I'm surprised that Taichi is turning out to be the most developed and complex character on this show. Chihaya is slowly progressing, while Arata seems to be completely linear. Anyhow, I liked the lesson they tried to portray: losing eventually makes you stronger. But seriously, the love triangle melodrama is so eminent; Arata should fuck off in my opinion. He's gone for half the season he shouldn't have claims on some chick he liked in elementary school. |

| FALCONNNNNNNNNNNNN KICKKKKKKKKKKKKKkk ppl saying typical defeat episode. Yes it happens in sport animes, but the characters still feel bad, I feel bad, and seeing you people swipe it off sayin blah, seen better ones in other animes can go screw urselfs to mah falcon kick line. Defeat happens, and I can accept that, but moments such as group disapointment, Chiahaya striking out straight, and just knowing that they must improve and get better make this episode great. I love the present Queen now too, I see scawy face to extremely cute face when Chihaya mentions snowman shirt. Seeing it change from scary to a smile is <3 Andddddddddd Aratas coming back, thinking we'll see Chihaya vs. the queen and Taichi vs porky, and then taichi vs arata and finally Chihaya vs. Arata or taichi and her hooking up with whoever it is she faces !!! All guesses and randomness just becuase i started thinking random stuff ^.^ |

| I'm quite pleased about the little things they put into this show, like Chihaya's tatami face imprint from sleeping on the mat. Makes me eager for more, and already wanting a 2nd and 3rd season, even though we're only currently halfway into the first, and hopefully not the last. |

| After rewatching, I realized that when the Queen blushes because of Chihayaya's compliment, the ones who say that 'the Snowman actually have a name' and 'Other people recognize it' are the girls in the background. |
