First of all he was a little kid then? Second of all, she actually did enjoy the sport and STILL plays SOFTBALL.

Elder Shigeno's reasoning is wrong here. Yes in anime everything went well but in real life what right do you have to force someone to play if they don't want to?! Just focus on those that do!

Goro sure is talking big now when last season he was the biggest egoist on the planet and pushed everyone out of the way just because they were not as good as him.

Well it is good to see him finally mature and so far I like this season =)

Oh thank you elder Shigeno! Finally Goro got the ass kicking he needed. Beat them by myself?! HA! You can't do that you dumbass, you need a TEAM not numbers.

Wow, I did not see that coming. The old man Shigeno and that Little League coach to appear. Hehe, that's what I like so far with Major. It always surprises me.

Uchiyama's little siblings are cute...

And yeah! Time for Goro to realize that he cannot beat Kaido by himself! Baseball is a team play man.

Glad Shigeno gave Goro a wake up call. Baseball isn't a one man show and it's insulting to Kaidou to say he can single handedly defeat them. Hope that actually sinks in for Goro this time, teamwork is a necessity not empty stand ins. At least he's not trying to use or manipulate his teammates though and is sincere about helping them improve.

Good thing he has gathered them now. Let's see how they go from here.

Morikubo-san's voice for Goro role feels sharper than before.

Kind of excited if that Sunglasses dude becomes their permanent coach, I think it'll be one of the first times that Goro actually has a proper coach (can't consider the coach from Kaido as being a "proper coach", and his little league coach was . . .)

Yo. That kohai trio. They are fucking adorable, continuing to train in secret :3
Same for the fatty (don't mean to be offensive, he's adorably chubby). Man, he gathered such a cute club xD
I'm a straight dude, and they make me want to pet them :P

Shigeno and Kashimoto method was pretty hardcore and harsh, but I think they made Goro grow a lot within only a few months. He became way more aware of the people who surround him, actually caring for them and their progression. That show that their method were incredibly efficient!

Took a while, but now the team is finally complete, well aside form needing next year first graders. It may have dragged a bit, but at least the character drama for both Shigeno and Goro were great.

Goro is slowly maturing with each episode, and I really hope he matures enough to stop being so arrogant. I don't dislike him for that, but he won't make it far in the pros with that attitude.

I don't think Goro's ever /not/ cared for his teammates; he's always been a kind person, but he's definitely arrogant and pretty unaware that baseball is more than just a one-man sport. So hopefully he'll finally learn his lesson here? Maybe?

So knowing that 5 of the 7 guys have baseball experience, 1 of the 2 remaining has some sports experience in basketball, and the preview shows who I am assuming will be a new first year that seems to be good at baseball, I don't doubt this team can become strong. Yeah most of them are rusty, but they have experience and that's important when retraining yourself. It won't take as long as if they were complete noobs. Miyazaki is the only complete noob since he didn't play for sports long and admits he was bad at all of them meaning he left before training hard in any. Could definitely see this team becoming something though

i actually this episode reset this season for good, one, that's how goro should have in the first place so they feel wanted in the group, and two we get to know them more, much like in the 1s season. though i really think how he convinced them is unrealistic and forced.
what really make me love in this episode is that finally goro get over his 2nd season personality, i like his development in this season.

Goro needed that wake-up call and even more with Shigeno and sunglasses Hashimoto as coaches the chances of becoming a proper team are higher (slight hope for Koshien though).
