...And our queen Nana Mizuki continues to dominate the anime music industry.

Aki Toyosaki's pretty good too, considering that both her group and herself got into the Top 5.

Totally not expecting Aya Hirano. I think almost all of her sales were from the first part of 2011.

Wow wasn't oath sign released like 2 weeks ago? Already reached number 9 O.o

And damn Dog Days really is very popular in Japan.

Also isn't Kakko Warui i love you SKET Dance's opening theme?

Tonight... we are young... so let's set the world on fire, we can burn brighter, than the sun...

Well it has a magazine exclusive light novel, 3 magazine exclusive manga, 2 manga out on the market which if you visit the season 2 announcement I have pics of since I have them both. Merchandise up the scale (still no Ricotta figure, please I want one, it needs to be made). It needs an action or RPG genre video game as well. The Episode Side Story Manga sold extremely well in the first week.

Nana still on top and Yukari in third, makes me a happy camper.

Heh, well, Dog Days is modestly popular, but the reason the OP sold so much is because it's Mizuki Nana.

The people basically buy the single for Nana Mizuki...

And once again, queen Nana owns Japan!
She's definitely will hold on into top spot if she does continue like that!
Either way, I was surprise that Tiger & Bunny was into top 5.
But nah, this is Japan after all. No harm done

I second this one. I'm pretty sure it was Sket Dance's first OP.

I have all three of these on my Ipod =D.

Too bad My Dearest isn't higher. My guess is that, although the flagship song and it's instrumental are orgasmic, the other songs on the single are rather crappy.
Koeda's voice...*sigh*... is why the instrumental version of My Dearest is my favorite song on the single.

Both of Fate Zero's songs were really good; they deserved their good rankings.

Mizuki Nana is talented as well, but I don't think her Dog Days song is her best.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I'm surprised "My Dearest" isn't higher, too. Otherwise, nothing new.

I'm so glad AnoHana's ED is up there. That was definetly my favourite anime song of that season. It's just perfect. ^^=

I'm surprised its so high. Gets annoying after the second episode. Well I guess everything was. It evens out o;

Doing good Fate/Zero! I haven't skipped a single OP / ED out of every single episode that I've watched and re-watched (Which is over 8 times, each episode.)

And I'm glad Mahou Shoujo is also up there. I loved theirs.

how about not likely? Unless you take out the whole sex scandal thing and the outraged fanbase and the agency shut her down.

@DraconisMarch: What? Koeda's voice drowns out the rich complexity in the instrumental version. Koeda's pitch just tends to waver in a certain zone unchanging, making the entire song sound repetitive. When you remove her voice, you here the symphonic elements in the background rising and falling, drums building up tension, and crashing guitars signifying raging climax. It's quite an experience to listen to at full volume. =D

Dude, her voice is frickin' beautiful. And she's only 15 years old.

Maybe the equalizing is off and her voice is too loud compared to the background music, but still... that doesn't make her voice bad.

Her voice IMO, is not bad per se, but it was unsuited for singing My Dearest. Her voice lacked the raw power and quality to match the intensity of the song. It's probably not her fault; it would probably take someone with a voice as powerful as Nana Mizuki to sing My Dearest at it's fullest potential. However there is no doubt in my mind that Koeda couldn't do it. =/
