| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This wasn't a bad episode, but kind of boring and directionless. I had a hard time trying to keep my attention on what was being said while figuring out who was saying it, where we were, and the relation this had to the last episode. I feel like I got a lot of characters mixed up, but at the same time, I think that the last 3-5 minutes cleared everything up. |
| So lot of developments and lot of guys will try and take the throne if i understood right. In the end of the episode Cao Cao was called by the Han dynasty to destroy the yellow rebellion or was i wrong in this? So the whole country is gone a be a mess for a long time. The next episodes should get really interesting. |

| Not sure if the source material flows better, the events do seem disconnected, and it seems to be rushing to the more iconic events. I love the exchange of the iconic quotes, and how they embellish the words on screen. The over-dramatization, though, is usually a bit much. Still undecided on my thoughts on this iteration of the three kingdoms as a whole, but I'm liking the characterization of Cao Cao, bar the second episode. |
