| Kyuu's Testimonial: Given my age, it is true that the greater the age - the more difficult it becomes to learn a new language. As I progressed through the lessons in My Japanese Coach, I tend to forget past lessons. As a review and quick reference, I have been blogging each of the lessons. When it comes to blogging, I am still catching up. I'll be linking each lesson here. These are just my "notes" on the chapters. They are by no means used as a reference for learning. Without having the game, these notes are ineffective. Finally, since these are my notes, I may have some errors. Bonus points for catching some. Once I got past Chapter 30 -- when Romaji is generally dropped -- then the game is stepped up. Generally forced to "speed" read words just in kana. Drills like that help. |

Oh yeah, I bet that does help...I can read/write Hiragana very well, but i definitely need more practice with Katakana. I have about 6 apps on my iPhone that I use a lot for learning...mostly just building vocab but i also have one to practice kana stroke order. |

| I've been playing it for a few months now. I love the whack-a-mole game but the word search is my fave. It's helped me understand more, which I believe will help me as I move on to other ways of learning like Rosetta Stone. (It's just so expensive.) I also have the My Spanish Coach, which I'm using to brush up on my Spanish. (I used to be fluent.) I think My Japanese Coach would be good for people trying to refresh things they've already learned. |
