Is there any romance in the series?

I was wondering if this gundam series contains any romance in it. If so then do you mind telling which characters it's between, it won't spoil anything for me.

There's some subtle romance between a few characters but nothing really overt until the second to last episode, and that's between two secondary characters. That is, of course, except for a side-plot which is a young romance between two college students. It is overt but it's nothing really lovey-dovey until, again, late in the series (like episode 22 or 23 I think). On the other hand, season 2 seems like romance will be a significant theme but I've only watched the first 7 episodes so far.

That all said, I figure you know that this isn't really a romance show.

there's also a Lockon x Anew pairing in season 2... It's my favorite.
