Well I'd like to ask what do you think of it 'cuz after seing the trailer I thought that Wolverine or any other X-men should never-ever have been made into anime. I just hope the trailer isn't the highest hope...

It looks just terrible, to be completely honest. Nothing's wrong with giving classic characters small face lifts or a little updating from time to time, but the design of Wolverine in this anime is just horrendous. How can you honestly even call that Wolverine? I'm disappointed, but I'll still watch it when it comes.

As a huge Marvel fan, I'm very excited about the new anime's. I think wolverine looks very promising from the trailer. Of course he looks totally different, It's an anime not a US cartoon. I wouldn't be an anime if it looked just like our shows. I think his look is perfect. He looks so badassly different, but still has the wolvi-esque feel. I wish the trailers had dialouge, can't wait to hear the VA's for this. So don't expect it to be like US Wolvi at all, Which I'm glad, cause then it'd just be another rehashed US toon. And If you haven't seen the Iron Man trailer, check it out, it looks equally awesome, if not better. Urahara Out!!

What the hell where they thinking? Maybe if we are lucky this will be some other character named Wolverine instead of the beer chugging cigar smoking muscle bond Canadian named Logan. The wolverine in the trailer looks like gay, and if he smokes he probably smokes Eves(really thin cigarettes marketed to women) and if he drinks he probably drinks daiquiris(alcoholic drinks marketed to women) instead of beer and hard liquor.

It does make me wonder what what age this Logan is. I'm tired of the main characters being teens. Wolverine was definately an adult (in his 60s/70s) when he got the admanatium claws.
What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

Seems like Batman will be the only good comic book adaptation Japan ever did. Unless Iron Man is not a disaster.

What a waste of a budget. Looked awesome. Except for Wolverine, who looks like trailer trash with a bad dye job lost in Japan.

hm, yeah they could have made better use of a budget instead of producing an already successful wolverine. ( anyone but me hear cows going "MOOOOOoooooo!" )
they should have instead used that budget to release sequals on already successful titles that would earn them more money. say for instance a long needed skip beat second season.
but aside that is it just me who got the idea that it probably didnt start of as wolverine?, but instead started, a character who looks and moves like a Ryu Hayabusa from ninja Gaiden and Zhang He from Dynasty Warriors, but then the only way to get the audience to look and say " ooh, he looks gay yet awesome" .......was to use wolverine as a base. thus ripping wolverine from his his awesome and rugged reputation.

all in all. Quite disapointed on the way it turned out, even if it doesnt look the same you cant say that they shouldve made him that damn skinny.

Wait, what? Wolverine is not THAT old (60s/70s)! I'd say more like late 30s early 40s.

As much as I like the characters from Marvel and DC, I do have something to nitpick. Way to many of their characters, particularly the males, are made to look like they are overly buff, and on steroids. A lot of what they are competing with, manga/anime, and other industries, are moving away from this, because it is overly unrealistic, and in a way, idealized. That being said, I think the attempt to a more realistic style, when it comes to characters is a good thing, even if they do it through anime.

However, when I first saw Wolverine from that trailor, I had to go and think carefully, that isn't Wovlerine. I expected him to actually be a bit more stalky, and be the character that got the least amount of change size wise, or one of them, when adapted to anime. My reaction was rather negative, but that I would want to see the series anyways. Then I got to thinking about it, and realized, I was possibly looking for a character body type like Hugh Jackman.

I then got to thinking, typically bulky characters don't have speed, stamina or agility, yet these are traits Wolverine is likely to have. I also kept thinking, that long hair, it looks like a scrawny version of Sabertooth, which I think may have been there intentions, concidering

So, I am not so dissposed of it. However, I think about what my mother would think, who happens to have one of her favorites from Marvel as Wolverine, and a distaste for Anime, and I realize, there is the possiblity of an uproar from some of the comic fans, espessully if it isn't made clear, when it is brought over here, that this is anime. Some, will even feel that Marvel did something sacriligious.

He looks better like this. His body looks more like human. You can only look THAT buff by using steroids. I personally always hated how he looked in the comic. >.< I'm expecting this a bit. Made me curious.

I was looking forward to this, but I was not very happy with the trailer. I suppose it looks alright for an anime, just not a Wolverine anime.

All of his incarnations in all different forms of media have had the same general look. They didn't look exactly the same, but you could tell it was Wolverine. This incarnation is too radical for me- by so drastically changing Wolverine's 'general look' I feel like they've changed a big part of the character. That's just my initial opinion though.

Still, I'm going to wait until the anime comes out to judge; I might end up being pleasantly surprised.

While the character here in this trailer does look more like Dante and some long haired be-clawed demon had a scrawny rocker for a son, I really do not see how it matters. Sure he doesn't look like any, ANY, of the Marvel Comic depictions of Wolverine that I've seen, all those incarnations of the midget mutant were, to my knowledge, aimed at an American audience. I'm just assuming that this is more of a try to make an anime that captures the Wolverine feel for a Japanese Audience

As for him fighting demons what's the big deal? You're acting like demons have no place in the Marvel Universe.

And lastly, always remember when you think he doesn't look tough enough... Gay is only two keys away from Gar, and I have a gut feeling that when it finally airs that's what people will be calling him... but hey that's me.

When I think of the original Wolverine, I think of a garden gnome on steroids. I've never liked his general appearance, and I always wondered how he could move so fast. The thing that kept him as my favourite was his attitude (and maybe his voice actor).

This anime Wolverine is just a bit too pretty though. Don't get me wrong, I love my bishies, but I think when you're working with an established character, you have to be careful with how far you take the adaptation.

That being said, if they can capture his personality and tell a decent story, consider me sold.

Animation was awesome, though I don't think I can say the same about the actual art. I'm not a big fan of Wolverine's orifinal character design, but this looked a lot worse. It's just... doesn't look like him at all. If it wasn't for the claws I would think he was Sabretooth or someone else. Well, we'll see. As long as the get his personality and a really good actor then I could consider living with this new design

I don't mind his character design, though it isn't exactly memorable. I just found the trailer to be extremely, extremely slow-paced for what should have been an action scene...

if you wanna see the anime version of Wolverine, he totally shows up in episode 4 of the new Iron Man anime series. i thought old wolvy was gonna look terrible, but he's quite badass. not sure which one will actually be in the anime, the iron man version or one from the trailer.

If you are talking about the recent trailers[ not the summer one ] then yes Wolverine will look like in the trailers, which isn't so far from the Wolverine we saw in episode 4 of Iron Man

Well..he was born in the late 19th century, so he might be that old, chronologically, but thanks to his mutant powers, he might be 30/40 ish.
He should be over 100 years old by now, so yeah :D

Did anyone notice that his claws do not come out from his knucles? Pause the trailer at 1:37 and you'll be able to notice it...
And I think there is something really wrong about this wolverine and japaneses anime these last few years... almost none of the main characters are adults, or at least with features that resemble that of an adult. What do they have against facial hair??
It's becoming a habit to make the male characters more and more androgynous... Sad times...
