| I'm not enjoying this 5th season as much as the previous ones, to be honest. It's not as slice of life as the 4th, but still, it's too slow-paced and rather boring (especially if compared to the first 3 seasons), nothing particularly interesting happened yet. Lumen needs to get the fuck out. I miss Rita already. Some men raped you? Fine, go take your revenge and kill them. But no, she's so clumsy and patethic she can't do anything alone, so what does she do? Mess up Dexter's life, of course. "omg, I killed one of those men who raped me, but I'm not even sure if he's actually one of them, anyway come and help me nao Dexter, thx". Okay, fuck you. Mr Dexter seems to have lost some of the attitude I loved so much, he has softened up (it's his baby fault, I guess). Less babysitting, more bloody murders, please. |

| Really, I would agree that season 5 was not nearly as enjoyable. See, the first episode started out good but the whole Lumen storyline just wasn't my cup of tea... Overall, it was just a little too boring. The fourth season was far better. The build up, the thanksgiving episode, the finale, the development... It was all so, so much better done then the 5th season. They could have gone so many directions, and I think they took the wrong one. |
| I agree, they took the wrong the wrong direction indeed. Go figure my rage mixed with disappointment when Dexter & Lumen kissed and had sex. I was kinda expecting it, but I hoped the authors wouldn't go for something so predictable. They don't even make a good couple, camon. :-| The last episode was nothing special, and the end was quite bland. Not to mention that Lumen's such a stupid bitch for leaving Dexter like that. Hopefully next season will be better, bloodier, and Lumen-free. |
